Well I just got back from our regions annual meet. We had 18 cars this year! Only two legacys, mine and a 2000 titanium GT (sansMySTi)

We stayed in a bunch of cabins down in Nova Scotia (Parsborro). Usually we would tent but it has a history of raining. Go figure this year it is sunny! We had some pretty nice scenery. A few of us stuck around after and went up to a place called Cap d'Or. It took a few dirt roads to get there but it was a great view!

You're lost in a sea of Imprezas in that first picture.

The newer/faster cars have a tendency to be in the front of the pack in our pics.

Though Lee did get up front in this one...

Here is another...

And when I traded my WRB '04 STi for the Leg, I lost my spot up front in the pics (I am way up in the back on the left)...

Don't even sweat it. There was a time when all I wanted out of Subaru was an Impreza 2.5RS/WRX/Sti, or an Impreza wagon. (Mind you, those are all fantastic cars. Bonus points for anyone who's put in obscene hard work to transplant engines.)

HOWEVER, now that I am unbelievably happily married, and driving a Legacy gt sedan (while my wife has an outback wagon), I have to say that

1. Wagons are a fantastic blend of form and function
2. I never want to own an SUV as long as I live, unless I use it to go way off-road (like up on rocks)
3. Wagons are sleepers waiting to happen. 'Nuff said.

That is why I like Legacy wagons and Foresters now. That is probably why I'll continue to like them for some time. Regardless to say, even though my wife wants to get a Dodge Charger or Toyota Prius (her two faves) as her next car, and I would be losing my 2.5 lgt, I will have no problem driving her outback, and even less of a problem once I (hopefully) have the money to perform the necessary maintenance and upgrades to her car.

(Hmmm. I wonder if anyone's dropped an '04 STi engine into an Outback before?   )

Later!

dodge charger or toyota prius? Burning rubber and hugging trees at the same time.
