My car..the driver's window switch. Down is easy, but up, is a bitch. I have to hold it in the perfect position. Its such a chore that I rarely roll my window down anymore.

Anyone heard of this or know of a fix?

Time for a new master control switch. It's common for them to shit the bed.

yeah take off the panel around it and all your switches are in one big i guess like he said master control switch. just buy a new one. had to replace one in my old frontier and actually one in my 06 sti, not sure why but it went bad too. so just buy that new switch plug it in, and your good to go.

I would try to buy a used one first. They are big bucks brand new. I bought a used one from a bone yard for $50. I had to because my window was stuck down and I had to get it up before it rained.

LOL when mine went out of my nissan i was in the middle of portland rain, and if u know anything about portland oregon, those are some big rain drops and a LOT of them haha. that was a long wet ride home (hour and a half away)

i paided like 98 somthing for mine from nissan brand new. the sti got covered on warranty not sure what it cost.

I don't like water inside my car regardless the size of the rain drops. Also around here an unattended car with an open window isn't a bright idea. Locks only keep out honest people, and theres not many honest people running around. :-(

any model with the same door panel should all the the same. im not familiar enough with legacys yet thou to send out some years. but call suby, they can give u a part number and just browse around online. the dealered wanted 400 bucks for mine for the frontier and like i said i found it online for 98 brand new from a nissan part distributor.

Did you also know that BD/BK window switches are NOT the same as BE's?

Like I said - don't give out advice if you're not 100% on it.

no shit there different? thats funny they are different body styles, duh they are different, like i said. if the door panels are the same its the same switch!!

example. BD's and BK's have the same panel design, so the switches are the same....

another in my frontier, 98-00 was one body style 01-04 was another. but they all had the same door panel design so the window switch would fit anything from 98-04.

i never said anything about trying to put a BD switch in his BE. so i dont know where that came from.

To install the master switch isnt hard. If you had to take the panel aprt a few times it's not hard.

Well...got a coffee on my way to school today..and window didnt go up..I couldnt do anything to get it to go..

$150 later, I was 50 minutes late for a 90 minute class, and I have a new window Master Switch.

$125 for parts, $20 for labor. :( Procrastination bit my ass this time.
