That Toy-Let is pretty sweet. What happened to it?

not 100% sure. were guessing an electrical fire but something caught fire under the hood, and seeing flames and smoke comming up i panicked and ended up rolling it. thanks to the icy roads and a guard rail. so i got to watch my runner sit on its side go up in flames. and melt the snow around it lol. pretty shitty day.

Nice toys you have there. I'm interested in the 79 Cvic, why a 79 civic? and what plans do you have for it? I also love the Banshee, I been thinking about getting a Banshee or a Raptor.

haha im glad u asked.

first off, its a 1st generation civic, you just dont see them any more they are getting very rare. and theres a huge enthusiast community out there on these litttle guys and they are actually worth quite a bit when restored... but thats not my intentions. this is a 1500 pound car fully loaded soaking wet in blankets lol. its super light weight!! but stock it only makes 50 hp with its little sohc 4 banger. so i plan on making it a little drag car/show car. so i planned on gutting it and only have 2 front light weight racing buckets and roll caging it since id have to have one to run on NHRA standards. so that would keep the weight down and i ditched the heavy front and rear metal bumpers so im aiming for a 1300 pound car when im done. and i DOHC swapped it. when the motor work is done it will be putting down about 200 whp in a 1300 pound car.... thats easy mid to low 12's in the quarter if i can hook up traction. and then im really good with fiberglassing so im taking bumpers and side skirts from other cars an chopping them down and fiberglassing them on to the car to give it a nicey showy look.

basically just something different that no one has seen. i like to be different and not follow the crowd to much. also my girlfriend has one that her mom passed onto her and she is madley in love with it, so i wanted to show her how much cooler it could be lol. she liked the idea of having a his and hers type of thing going on lol. i just recently painted hers, so pink rota wheels are next on the list followed by a drop and tint, and maybe someday she will get a d16 motor swap for a little more hp.

What motor you dropping in there? Doing a LS Vtec swap or a B20?

As for a quad I don't plan on spending much. I plan on buying cheap and used. I will beat the shit out of it. Same reason why I wouldn't buy a brand new truck.

I'll check out that link, your girl's civic is cool, almost looks like an old school Mini.

dude that civic is badass! what are your plans with the motor? is that a dohc ZC in there? or r u going b-series? boost?

SPR

lol a old school mini is on my list to buy too!! but i got to many projects right now i gotta get some finished first. i shouldnt be buying my legacy but i am anyway.

the motor is actually a d16a1. basically a usdm version of the jdm ZC. its the only dohc D series there is. only reason im using it is because i got it and the tranny for free. i was going to do a b18c5 swap (integra type R motor) but no reason to spend 5g for 200 hp. when i can spend 500 bucks and get 200 hp on this d16 i got for free. plus its smaller and lighter weight, so it worked out better.

and she really likes it, specially her pink stripe, she is a pink freak, so the pink rota wheels are right up her alley lol.

and i know what u mean by buying cheap and used, its tuff beating up something exspensive. trust me my frontier makes me sick how i treated it, but not much i can do now, it handles it so i might as well keep beating the hell out of it lol.

yeah i will be boosting it! boost and nitrous and calling it good. except for the basics, like cam gears, exhaust intake and hondata ecu tuning. nitrous is just for show thou, i doubt ill ever use it.

and its the USDM version of the ZC. d16a1 out of a 89 integra.

That little civic will be bad ass. One of my friends bought an old school Mini and they slapped it on the dyno at the shop. He now holds the record for the least amount of horse, 25whp! WOOHOO!!

I checked out you 79 civic link. Nice build you got going there. I could just imagine how much those bumpers weigh.

Yep. I think I should buy a mini or civic like that, I am 6' 5" and 250lbs so it would look awesome. Fat guy in a little car.

by the time i took the metal bumpers them selves off and then all the mounting and the shock stuff that absorbs the impact its a good 50 pounds a bumper. so thats about 100 pounds i shaved off. now my rear bumper i fiberglassed on there came off a 05 civic so stock it prob weights 10-15 pounds maybe? with the little bit of fiberglass and bondo and hot glue it will prob be looking at about 25 pounds total if that. still half of what the other one was. the front might be a little heavier since its going to take a lot more fiberglass and bondo but still should cut the weight close to half. the side skirts will maybe be 10 pounds a piece so even at that ive still saved weight and gave it a very new look. and im still taking out the very heavy front seats and the rear seat totally, the very heavy dash was removed and replaced with my 20 pound fiberglass one. lots of metal has been shaved out of the engine bay and doors and everywhere i could, not to mention all the air controls and things like that are gone too. none of that is going back in. and the dohc motor only weights 20 pounds more than the sohc that was in it! haha.

im actually sorta thinking about trying to sell my civic for $800. motor alone is almost worth that. i dont have time to finish it really. but if someone came up with the cash id prob let it go. you wont find a better shell than this, rust is a killer in these cars, this one is rust free its amazing.
