my girlfriends '02 legacy wagon does something weird. if you go over 60mph, the mirrors seem to disrupt the air and make wind noise against the windows.
I used to think it was worn out weather stripping in the doors, but if you fold the mirrors in and go that fast the noise is gone.
anyone else get this problem?

Yup. Except, when I fold up the mirrors, I still have noise. I think its the gaps themselves, and the wind going through them creating low pressure/high pressure whistle.
I used to tape up all the gaps on the front end of the car, and the mirrors for my ride to my aunt's house every week. 100 miles each way..

at least I know we aren't insane or got a lemon or something...
I was thinking of maybe filling the gaps with some grease or taking them apart and using some rubber washers or something... but I have a feeling it's mostly the arms that hold the mirrors - the shape of them kind of sucks.
yeah on my 06 sti the mirrors whistle louder than the turbo at about 100+ lol its crazy. it does make noise at about 60-70ish too. just not quite as loud.
