bit of a tough pic because of the shadow, but I want to see what my winter wheels would look like:

1. Bronze
2. "General Lee" orange
3. Gold
4. "Tein" green

No question in my book. "Tein" Green and "general lee" orange would be tied for first as most noticeable.

Although I'm biased towards the green myself COUGH :grin: GREEN! COUGH :grin:

Although, you better watch out... you said "Tein" green. If you paint those rims green, watch out or you'll start putting Tein graphics and parts on your car :)

i tried it huffer but the back rim has too much sunlight on it so the shade is completely from the back, same thing as dave.

I edited the greens a little--the problem isn't just the light, it's the metallic nature of the wheel too--in the light, the wheel looks like a dull silver, but in the shadow, more of the metallic is visible. Anywho, I'll toss the others up in a few minutes.

Huffer, If you got a pic of your car completely in the shade, it would be perfect for this.

While i was making the orange ones, i accidentally got red...and was like 'woah'. I like the red.

I'm assuming you used "hue/saturation" to change the color, judging by the washed out colors - next time when you go in there, try checking the "colorize" box, it does wonders :wink:

Ok, so apparently the wife is approving of the RED wheels... mainly because I showed her the JDM sidemarkers that deadlydave sent me - he'd already painted them red.

I thought she was kidding, but no... so now I'm looking for a deep wine red.

Bump because in a couple of weeks I'm going to do this in prep for next winter... :lol:

I really think I might do the red. It would tie in nicely with the taillights.

I am planning on smoking the park lights (de-oranging the reflector)...and the car will be a little lower.

I'm painting my RS wheels right now. Well, prepping them. They're really beat up and need a ton of work. :cry:

Get a shop vac, a cordless drill and a paint stripper wheel and go for it.
Make sure to wear a mask to avoid inhaling lead bits...

Or find a place that has industrial blasting equip and get them to media-blast.

I'm pretty much done--I used 'aircraft remover' paint solvent, some thick gloves, and some steel wool. I just have to take them to my father's house to hose off before I can start priming and sanding.

They actually look pretty pimp in their 'polished' state. If I had a black car, I'd consider trying to just clear them and slap 'em on.
