hey everyone, about a month ago i had purchased a Vibrant flat black universal muffler. Everything else on my exhaust was stock. so recently my catalitic rusted out so i decided i would get a highflow cat and a header(my stock manifold was very rusty). I bought a universal highflow cat from napa for $40 and a $200 stainless steel header from A2Rinc. on Ebay. Labour to put in the header and fab some pieces to hold the cat in place ran me $120.
header (total with taxe and shipping) = $270
cat (total with labour to install it) = $160
stock midpipe (brand new installed last year) = $150
universal muffler (plus installation) = $170
TOTAL = $750

How it looks

How it sounds

Im quite happy with how it turned out. I know i could have spent more money to get name brand shit but im a starving student. NExt summer i might get a custom catback to really open it up.

Sounds great, pretty much the same sound as my old set up.

i measured the outlet of the header and it was 2" so i got a 2" cat

just curious, why didn't you get the exhaust shop to just weld on a 2.25in midpipe? that seems to be the only other part you need to get for your exhaust.

sounds good though

thats coming next summer. i want to get the midpipe and then get a quieter muffler because the one i have now is a little too loud for everyday driving
