I second that... the white hood is a cool look - period. Normally it would catch me off guard but it's a nice alternative to the black cf hoods I see as mods.

The more I look at it the more I like it. Oh and don't feel bad about your paint job at all... my car's about as battle-scarred as yours is by now. I'll post some pics when I spray my mesh wheels black (glossy, not flat... I want those puppies to shiiiiine )

Again, great looking ride. Your car is now work wallpaper...

I would remove the pinstripes but im afraid that the paint color underneath is different than the rest of the car...

If that's the case buy Meguires paint cleaner. I removed the pin strip on my WHITE 89 CRX and you couldn't tell. I did the whole car and it looked brand new. I also did the polish and wax too. They have a 3 step system.

man i love the interior work. but... you need some carpet and door cards lol. that would finish it off.

i have some for sale in a nice bright red suede that would match your car perfectly if your interested. its just center piece fabric/plastic. not the whole door panel. all you would have to do is unscrew, switch, and screw back in.

2) the OEM markup

but any spot behind the steering wheel like that is the best spot as far as concealing the wire; you cant see it at all.

Theres plenty of em on eBay for $160 shipped. Well worth it in my opinion. Not only does it tell you things like HP, MPG, Throttle position, Ignition timing, RPM, MPH, and lots more, but it is also read codes, clears codes, tracks your max RPM of the day, avg speed of the day, avg mpg, and more. Overall very useful tool and with an older car I think it can save you money in the future if you figure out a problem sooner because of it.

Oh please. The SC2 does way more than pretend to be a dyno. This gadget has paid for itself in a matter of months with OBD2 scans, code clearing and generally being able to spot when stuff is going to break.

I was able to watch my voltage readings drop and simply took the battery in for a test. It failed. Bought new battery same day. Problem solved. No need to mess around with wondering if the alternator was going etc.

Which is BS, I can't see how reading codes and clearing them made your money back huffer when autopart stores read and clear them for free. Unless you have to pay in your area, then this would be great for you. You having your scan tool vs someone who doesn't have one.... lets say me, you dont have any significant advantage. Wow it tells you volts and MPG etc.

Can the SAFC read OBD codes across ALL vehicles? Including CAN protocols?

Can the SAFC take intake temps from your stock sensors (if your car has them) and show them to you?

You buy one thing to do one thing...does your A/F ratio meter show you oil pressure too?

Thought so.

There's no reason to hate on my logic. I spent $130 on a toy, and it ended up saving me money. I was able to avoid making trips to an autostore to get codes read, and I saved money on battery failure diagnosis. I even discovered the car was mis-firing before it was recognised by the ECU. And yes, for kicks I waited until the code appeared. P0303 misfire cylinder 3.

My time spent away from work and family IS money. Without having to move the car from my parking space to work out what the problem is, saves me money. Work the logic however you want.

The only calibration you can do is set the engine size and tell it when you fill up your tank. And ive done that so i think its as calibrated as its gonna get.

I think mine will be here tomorrow and the calibration was something I was curious about. I've been doing a lot of reading on cleanmpg.com and I see some people have been putting theirs on "hybrid" mode even if they don't drive a hybrid. I guess it's part of their fuel-saving driving tactics.

I can't see how reading codes and clearing them made your money back huffer when autopart stores read and clear them for free.

AutoZone won't clear them around here. You have to buy the part, install it, then bring the receipt back to clear your code. Some stores just clear them, but ask you not mention it because they're not supposed to here in Mass.

This IS a good buy in my opinion. I do see where you've saved time and money (no trip to the store + waste of gas= $ + Time :smt023 )

And like Huffer suggested, It takes SOME of the guess work out.

New Mod: scangauge delete

Yeah, I used the thing for the past 3 days and realized its totally not worth it. Most of the info is useless and the rest of it is inaccurate and delayed. It could be that its just in our cars because my friend has it and he loves it. But for starters, the HP rating is way off and the reason is that our 95-99 subarus did not come with an air temp sensor, which is needed to calculate HP...

My autozone does CEL clearing for free and its 5 minutes away.

It was time to upgrade my sound system. A buddy of mine works at Best Buy and he got me a pair of Pioneer 180W speakers for $24.00 and a pair of Infinity Reference SE 180W speakers for $46.00 ... all on his employee discount. It was an amazing deal (I spent $75 w/tax on all new speakers) and they sound incredible... took us like 3 hrs to put em in; it was more of a pain than i had imagined, but oh so worth it

EDIT: the pioneers cant handle the power anywhere near as well as the infinitys (pioneers=30W RMS, infinitys=60W RMS) so i got another pair of infinity references and i should be set. either way, theres a world of a difference compared to stock speakers... those things were made of paper.
