LSD FWD transmission

Was there ever a limited slip option for a FWD? Is there anyone who makes an aftermarket kit?

Not sure about the aftermarket kits, but the FWD was offered on mostly base model cars, so I seriously doubt there was an OEM LSD front diff offered.

I've seen aftermarket front LSD's for the Impreza but they were frickin expensive. Can't remember where though.

never an OEM option


all 5-speed subaru trannies use essentially the same front diff (different axle attachments....).

so any aftermarket (Quaife, OBX, Kaaz, Cusco, etc. etc.) for any 5-speed can be put in there. but be prepared to drop some coin, and still only be 2WD :roll:

Thanks for all of the input. My intention was to keep it 2 wheel drive in an out of Subaru "body" experience. More later if dreams become reality. Again thanks.
