I was wandering through an old junkyard, which hasn't been used in probably about 20 years, when I came across this old classic. It was way in the back, with many of the larger trucks and compacts from the 70's. Of course, its probably been there for longer than I have been alive, seeing the tree in one of the pics is literally growing right through the car. I believe its a 75 Leone...not quite sure though. Other than the engine completely missing, the car was completely intact if you don't count the rock through the windshield and someone shot at the poor thing. I've never seen one of these in person, and it was the only one in the yard. Once I came across this, I was on the hunt for more older subies, but this was the only one which I could see....the place is completely overgrown.

Oooh, it has a third-eye. Don't suppose you could steal the front grill?

I was totally going to snag it...at least the classic stars if I couldn't get the grill off. Should do it before the car gets scrapped. They are in the process of taking all the cars out for environmental reasons.
The days of climbing the junkyard fence and stealing what you need are over around here. All the cars are dismembered at a recycling facility, and what isn't needed goes to the crusher. Not...not that I would ever do such a horrible thing.

I remember those days lol. My uncle used to do it all the time when I was a kid.

I used to steal mirrors from the cars in the junkyard next to the daycare I was at before Elementary school... Then, this other kid broke them all.
