I noticed that the carbon fiber company VIS finally has some front end bits for BEs (sorry to everyone else, I didn't feel like looking). They ACUALLY have prices on them too! Only problem is, there are no pictures. I want a damn front lip!

I want the hood, checking to see if they have the hood....

EDIT: WOO! They do! But it's $1000. :-(

VIS has an iffy reputation in the aftermarket. Their products are somewhat hit and miss.

Really? Thanks for the head's up, I'll be careful. Shipping would be murderous on such a huge item, Any profit I made from selling my hood would get funneled right back into the shipping expense for that one.

Never have hoods shipped, specially carbon fiber ones. The majority of them are damaged in shipping.

That thumbnail for the hood looks like the Ebruni one.

Yeah, I looked into these before...I put a thread up on NASIOC.

IIRC I was quoted more like $600 by a VIS vendor for one.

I don't really like the EVO slit in front of the hood...just the scoop would have been better IMO.

I wonder if they just bought Erubuni's cast for these...the erubuni ones were molded for a Rev D car and the USDM headlights don't perfectly match up with the hood.

EDIT: yeah, it looks like it...look at the top trailing edge of the headlight/hood on the driver's side...

That particular Ebruni hood was not rev D. The Ebruni that was rev D. was the single scoop. You'll find that we have several USDM Legacys with the Ebruni scoop/vent hood that fit just fine.

This "racing style" hood fits fine. Their [erebuni] 'OEM style' is from the Rev.D mold. I found out the hard way...

VIS, whether its Erebuni's mold or not, has a much better product. So for those of you who say VIS is hit or miss, what can be said about Erebuni?

PS. anyone else recognize the OB is the VIS thumbnail?

You're thinking it's outbac GT, it' not him--different wheels. It's the guy that sold the hood to Outbackgt though. He's on the subaru outback forums.

Erebuni is mostly miss... but somehow they stay in business.
