So when I bought my lgt it has a dashcover that besides looking awful, caused a lot of debris because it was pretty old.

The previous owner had used super glue right on the dash to attach the cover.

Does anyone know of a nice looking dashcover that only goes to the fake seam-line instead of down to the passenger-side compartment.

Or a safe way to get super glue off? I thought about using acetone or something milder like mineral oil or goo-be-gone but I don't know how that would react with the dash.

goo gone shouldn't do anything bad to it. It's a pretty non-caustic chemical.

I agree, just wash thoroughly after goo-gone-ing it. And test it first in a small area.

When I de-pinstriped the Baja, i had waves left in the clearcoat/wax where it had run and I didn't wash it off well enough. Nothing some rubbing compund and a wax couldn't fix.

They have solutions to dissolve cca/super glue too. I would check out how it reacts to the dashboard on a hidden area (like on the side where dash meets door) first though.

I'm not sure goo-gone will work on that kind of glue.

Yeah the goo-gone isn't strong enough it seems for the super glue.
