so, my front main seal and all 4 cam seals were replaced today, as well as the timing belt which was soaked in oil.
Driving home, it started smoking. I'm sure there was a ton of oil on the engine, which, apart from stinking like shit, didn't bother me.
When I got home, after splashing in many puddles, I was pulling into my driveway when the little red "OIL" indicator lit up on my dash. So, turn off the engine and grab a rag. There's NO oil registering on the dip stick, and a puddle of oil under the car. I can't tell if the oil under the car was just runoff from the engine, or if it's still leaking oil.
It needs an oil change anyway, so I'll be attempting to drain the oil pan and put more oil in.
I'll post tomorrow about this. If I'm happy, all will be well. If I'm pissed, you can be assured that I won't be making it to class tomorrow and my trip to my friend's mom's house (far, far away, think vacation) will be off, and screwed.

I know your pain, I replaced all of my front seals about 5000 miles ago. A few days back my water pump starts leaking like hell so I replace it, the thermostat and the bolts holding it all together. I get it all back together and my passenger side cam seal is leaking again. Sigh. I will replace it again but this time I think I am going to but some hondabond or fujibond on it as some extra insurance

If you didn't beat on the car and it only came on at the end of the trip, you should be OK.
I hope.

If you have a puddle under your car I would doubt it's "run off". If this was me it be back to the A holes who did the job. Doing an oil change is going to be a wast of time. Add oil and drive it back to the shop.

Yeah, the front main seal is toast again.
Starting to wonder if there's something else going on. Like an oil pressure thing. All four seals look like they're leaking, and if it was just a bad seal job, I'd only expect 1, maybe 2 or 3 to leak. They're all popped out again... I dunno what to do.
I got oil this morning, put a pan under the engine, put in a qt, started it, and watched as 1/10th of a quart drained out in about 30 seconds. Shut it off, put an oil catch pan under it... Going to drain the oil completely, and have it towed down either later today or next week. It needs an oil change anyway, it's at 123,000.
It was weird, last night, I merged, and at the next light, it smelled like burning oil really bad. I didn't see any oil leaking out of it when we got to the store, or when we were driving back. I noticed a smallish puddle forming in the carport, but by then, the low oil light had flickered on and off once or twice. Now, it's leaking out so fast that I wouldn't be able to make it to the shop without it losing all of the remaining oil.

It'll be going back in Monday, since oil is now leaking out as fast as you put it in, it's getting a lift on a flat bed. As it is, it's been drained of all engine oil and is sitting in my driveway.
It was at oil change milage anyway, so I didn't end up dumping a bunch of oil on the road I just paid for.

Meh. It'll get fixed for free this time... Plus, it's not my money...

Damn, sounds like they need to do a better job than just the regular sealer. mabye oil resistant RTV silicone.

Yeah, gonna talk about that.
Gonna have the car flatbedded down tomorrow, not gonna waste oil that's just going to run out.
