I know that a few folks have done this, I just had a couple questions. Is the backspacing on the GT rims, is the backspacing the same as the 15" five spoke that came on the factory 30th Ann. Edition? Just trying to figure out if I will need spacers...... Also, the plan is to have Tein FLEX on the car in April, once the snow is gone. I will have them set as close to factory height as possible. Think that there will be any problem with rubbing with 205/45/17? Thanks again. Pictures would be cool too! Mine is the Sandstone color.

1. Backspacing = offset, so yes the 05 GT rims should be compatible with your car.

2. If you have coilovers, why would you stay at factory height? Otherwise, you might as well stay with your existing shocks & springs. FWIW, the Tein Flex system will NOT be able to sit at factory height - they are a shorter strut and therefore at their maximum "extension" will still be marginally lower than a factory ride.

3. You won't rub with that tire size, unless you lower too aggressively.

Cool, that was what I wanted to know. I was looking for only a minimal lowering, with much higher spring rates. That is why I was looking at the FLEX's.

One other thing..... what would be a descent price on a set of used '05 GT rims?

Thanks again.

Get the Tein, get the wheels, throw them on, and then setup the suspension so it's as comfortable as you want without rubbing.

Confused, are you going to get 16" snowflake Legacy GT wheels, or the 2005 17" Legacy wheels?

If you go with the 16" wheels, they should be fine 205 55R16, 17" would be 205 50R17. Your original tires and wheels are: 205 60R15, 15X6" wheels

Legacy GT stock tires and wheels: 205 55R16, 16X6.5"

2005 Legacy wheels with tires to fit your car would be 205 50R17, 17X7"

yeah I was looking into the '05 Legacy GT 17". I might have had the wrong size tire, but that was the rim and suspension that I was looking to run.

You guys know of any place to get the rims? I will have a look in the classifieds here in a second. Any help would be great! Anyone with an '05 Legy and want to off their rims! lol

The stock 215/45/17 on the 05+ will fit fine. What gen lego do you have? Is it a BH (00-04) like your sig?

I've had up to 225's on mine and there's room to go 235-245 with the right rim and camber setting.

Probably Legacygt.com or ebay...

or straight from the dealer if you have more $$ than sense.

I payed $800 for mine in gold with newish dunlop graspic snow tires. Kind of an impulse buy but I just fell in love as soon as I saw them. Legacy GT.com is a good place since people get rid of their stock ones alot.

Got it guys! Thanks, I will check legacygt.com and see what I can find. By the way, the Wagy is of the 95-99 body style. The '98-99 had the larger grill.

You can get a good set for around $400-500. I just bought a set of 17" WRX wheels with tires for my winter set up for a great price. They are in mint condition.
