UPDATED AND FIXED!
Hello SLi
I've disappeared because of much BS in the forum, but I'm not here to start trouble or to tell no one how to do their job. I'm just here to have fun ^__^
I NO LONGER MAKE THE AVATARS! Sorry!!!

Just got myself a nice deal on some Rota Torque's
17x8 - yes, my fenders are going to have to get a roll treatment, but they look SOOOO good on.
http://www.freeimagehosting.net/uploads/9a6d455825.jpg
They are going to get painted GOLD soon
Once it gets warm I'll get better pics
I've also over the few weeks painted my intake pipe gold, installed the ECMPro Power Chip and fixed a few little issues with the radiator shroud. Now it sits alot better.

I want to spray the inside of both my rear and front fender with under carriage paint or truck bed liner

So I've been keeping you guys in the dark... kinda
I have two sets of dual port EJ22 heads. So 4 heads in total... yes I love head :smt005
I'ma try to PnP one of the heads myself. Whats the worse that can happen? I have an extra set
Noone wanted to by my wheels. So I'ma keep'em and paint them another color
I've started to strip the paint off of them

I took advantage of the Delta Cams holiday prices and jumped on it.

I'm no longer going to be using a EJ25D block(For my franken motor). I scored a great deal on a EJ251 engine. Yes, the complete engine. It's such a good price that when I sell the EJ251 heads and other misc parts. I will break even and make alittle money lol
Type R lip is GONE! It broke even more on the places that I bolted it and lets just say. The lip didn't like how I drove into parking lots or the fact that it was a plow in the snow. lol
02/2010
I'm one step closer in my franken motor build
http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_ZySyDMAaGN4/S16MRZpPiiI/AAAAAAAAAZ0/60K-DSPjYUk/s400/2010-01-24+19.56.51b.jpg
I got the block now
I found a local guy that was selling two EJ251's for cheap, but you had to take'em both
So I bought'em both
http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_ZySyDMAaGN4/S16MQzSTtRI/AAAAAAAAAZk/5Sf_RXPyoZc/s400/2010-01-24+19.56.02.jpg

One has a good bottom end, but bad heads. Which is the I'll be using for the build
The other had a bad bottom end and good heads, which I will be parting out for cheap soon
I've got the EJ22 heads, Delta Cams, EJ251 Block. Now I just need to do the work
I'm hoping for it to be running and tuned by Dec.2010 and hopefully owning a different car to daily. I feel that this motor is too much of a X factor for me to daily it. So once this baby goes in, I'll need to have a different car to daily and this car will be AutoX and Track use only.
Look out for the exterior to get some changes too in the down force area.

Hey hey, another green gt... welcome... great pics. I need to get my BD in good shape... replaced a burnt out fog today and I'll probably be sanding and repainting my gt skirts and front/rear bumpers in the spring (I could repaint them now, but winter cometh).
Once again, welcome, and great car! Have a great fall/winter season... I'm looking forward to snow myself.

I installed my JDM headlights and painted my grill black. I don't have a badge because I broke it when I was trying to paint it.

I just got JDM tails

12-02-2007, 10:49 AM
Did the badge literally break physically, or is it only like the backing is messed up, or is the front of the badge is messed up?
4n70n1n0
12-02-2007, 08:20 PM
I broke two pieces off of the edge, while I was taking it off. Then I messed that whole badge, because I was trying to get the silver paint off of the stars and I got some paint on the front, but I'm going to worry about it. I'm getting a new grill. JDM Green L7 Badge  (Can't wait to get it)

I just got some JDM Amber Side Markers and bought a JDM short shift linkage from Artemadorous
I still have to install my JDM tails, Aero guards, Amber Side Marker, short shift linkage. I'm going to wait until the spring for me to install them, it's too cold to work in my car.

it's never too cold, go outside now!!
I wanna see these mudgards...

12-26-2007, 08:46 AM
If it was just something like the Amber Side Markers. I would be out in the cold installing it, but I want to install as much at once as I can. Since the Aero Guards kinda require me to unbolt the inner fender lining and so does that Amber Side markers I was thinking to install it together. Also the Aero Gurads need STRONG double sided tape. Since it's cold the double sided tape wont get it's full grip and I might have to redo it later and same thing with the tails. After I get through all of black sealing goo that hold the Tails in place, I need to silicone seal the JDM tails in place and just as the double sided tape the cold won't allow the silicone to seal properly. As far as the short shift linkage I might get my mechanic to do it.
It's only because of the double sided tape and the silicone, other then that I would be out in the cold installing it
In another random note, I might move into a house with a buddy of mine and it has a two car garage, but we might only get one side, but we are going to fight to see if we can get both sides. If we do get it, I won't have to worry about my Father seeing what I'm doing to my car and I'll have a garage to work in

I haven't been here in FOREVER. This is what happened
http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y145/antonino/HnR00.jpg
Someone hit me and ran. I have no idea who.
I primered all of the exposed body and I haven't had the money to fix it.
It doesn't look that bad until you try to place new tails in and they don't go in.
The Fucker nailed my car pretty hard. and it bent the tail housing .
My trunk got bent off alligment
That filler panel was a pain to find and I just got it after 3 months of bugging almost every junk yard in CT and Ebay for it.
The AutoBody shop quoted $500 for everything 2 months ago, i don't know now.
I lost interest in the car and almost sold it for an impreza
Decided to keep it because the Impreza RS had 50K miles more than my BD and the guy hadn't done the HG.
My car gave me some over heating problems a week ago, Thank GOD it was just the radiator cap, but I haven't had it up to 100MPH since.
I need to save money to do the HG S00N.
That's the update GUYS and GIRLS
I don't want to sell it, but my plans for it have been cut to a smaller list. ^_^
Plan to get a FC or a RPS13 for a project car
Daily Drivers should not be used for Project Cars

Sorry to hear about the hit and run. My car's been through a series of things over the past couple of years of ownership:
* Bought car August 2006
* Week after buying car - Main seal, new timing belt
* September 2006 - blown engine (replaced with a remanufactured EJ25 with the new headgaskets)
* December 2006 - heat shields cut, weird episode where car stalled (linked to a loose sensor - fixed)
* March 2008 - Check engine light for catalytic converter - new converter ordered with new O2 sensor
When the car was purchased it looked like it had been fixed up from a fender bender (I know because the right front turn signal does not sit flush with the headlights, frame damage)
God bless you in all you do and your future projects. To be honest, I briefly thought about selling my legacy when I got told I had to replace my cat converter (dealer wanted 900 bucks for the job), I sourced the parts and I estimate the repair at my long-time repair shop close to home will be about 3 to 400 bucks less.
If I would have sold my gt, I would have tried to go for a Forester or GC chassis Impreza. I think I'll hold on to it some more (although I was liking the idea of having an Outback wagon... what can you do? ).
Later!

Okay.
Finally my BD(HITOMI) is going to the shop this Thrusday.

I also got some STi Floor Mats knockoff's on eBay.
-I'm going to bleach the STi and color it GREEN
--I got the idea off of ---> shizznats's floor mats (https://sl-i.net/FORUM/viewtopic.php?t=7144)
Okay I owe everyone pics when I get Hitomi back. ^_^

+1 on the mudguard.. i wanna see them as well! I wonder if they actually protect from flying rocks and such.. i might just make a pair soon.
Nice quote on the paint / body work too.. everyone around here wants more than that just to paint my front bumper. They say its 'too much work' to sand it down and paint it.. whatever.
Hope you get everything back to normal.. do you have some tail lights your going to put in when you get it fixed?
Good luck man!

Mudguards are going in REALLY soon. The weather is just right, not I just need to get my ass off my bed on Sunday to do them. I want to paint my lips and skirts primer black. The same primer black I used on my mudguards. Hope I can do my mudguards this weekend.
They are going to install my JDM tail lights in.

BTW.. i wonder how the HELL someone hit u that high up on ur car.. musta been a truck or something.
4n70n1n0
03-25-2008, 08:26 AM
I think so too. They left me no paint from their car/truck. So I think it was a truck with a smooth metal bumper. I looked for days for some truck or suv, but even if I find it. I can't incriminate no one without evidence(no witnesses).

I got my STiFloor mats knockoffs
I bleached the STi (Didn't do a nice job as I thought
After I bleached it I SHARPYED the STi into STi
But I like it. I got to color it again, because I didn't dry all of the bleach off so now i have bright green spots on my STi
I'll post pics once s00n

Totally forgot to update everyone
I got her back from the shop and she looks beautiful
They did an awesome job for $300
It as one little flaw but it's because it was where it was hit, but she will never be back to 100% perfect condition.
JDM tails installed, trunk closes fine now and no more water in the trunk ^_^
Pics soon to come. I have to go to the car wash on Saturday and take a drive to fine a nice pic spot

I have another picture of the HID's but it's hard to take pictures of them. It might be my camera though. I want to take my BD out tomorrow night and see if I can get some nice night shots.
Well see, my camera sucks so I have to deal with it.
I'm debating if I should get a DSLR or other things for the BD

Two vise grips will take those bolts off. I would spray the shit out of them all day. Then the next day take a crack at it. I changed my axle back on a 15 min break at my old job. Jack up to clean up, you just need the right tools for the job.

Heat the bolts after applying PB blaster, but give it a few seconds as it is flammable....

what's a DSLR? where did u get the HID's? what kind of exhaust is it? do full exhaust, strut bar, and rear sway bar to start. then, if u have the money upgrade more. turbo conversion/swap, cams, coilovers, etc

If you can set the camera to manual mode (or as many things as you can make manual), that may help your pics. Otherwise, hold the shutter halfway down looking away from the car to grab the exposure level of that, and then turn back at the car while holding the shutter still, and snap a pic. That should keep your brightness looking good, instead of shutting down because of the bright lights. :)
Make sure you aim at something the same distance as your car is, to keep the focus set to the right distance though. ;)
Car and green STis look nice. I wonder if I can do the same with my Outback Limited mats? :)

I knew someone was going to ask ^_^
I was going to put them on, but I can't find the returner clips long enough to hold them on. I am going to put double sided tap, but I was the clips for security for the snow days. I was actually waiting on you since I could not find the clips to see how you were going to do it

HID's - I bought them off a friend of mine that left the country. He had them on his BG and he bought the his BG with them on. I have no idea where he got them, but Reason from here can get you some.
Full exhaust - Nah, I'm just going to do me SPT axle-back
Strut bars and Rear Sway Bars are on their way
I did want coilovers, but I'm just going to do springs and struts. I have RS*R springs coming in and i'm waiting on my tax return money to buy my struts . I think after I do my suspension and buy some nice wheels I'll be done with this car. It's my daily driver so I can't mod it too much. Plus I got to save money to do my HG's, she's starting to pick up some heat again

Wish I had manual option on my camera, it's a CHEAP 5MP camera. I'll try to use my mom's camera next time. It's a nicer camera and maybe it will have nicer options or more options then point and shot like mine

Nice! it came a long way
and how hard was it to install the momo steering wheel?
It was extremely easy. You just need the right tools. All you need is a philips screw driver, a hex screw driver and a steering wheel pull toll(don't know what it's called), a ratchet tool and a strong arm.
1. Disconnect the (-) Negative cable from ur battery.
- You don't want a punch on the face from the air bag. TRUST ME!
2. Use the HEX screw driver to remove the air bag. Those are the side bolts that
3. Disconnect the bitchy harness from the air bag
4. Unscrew the BIG bolt in the middle
5. Use the steering wheel pull toll to pull the wheel
6. Remove the cruise control
7. Punch out the hole for the cruise on the JDM wheel and nicely cut the leather
8. Install the Cruise Control on the JDM wheel
9. Place the JDM wheels in it's new place and give it a good push so it slides down into place
10. Place the BIG bolt back on and tighten it good, but not too hard
11. Reconnect the bitchy air bag harness
12. Tighten the HEX bolts to secure the iair bag in place
13. Step back and give urself a hand shake. You've done it!!!
I think that's it!
SUPER EASY

Cool, but curious, why a Rev speed meter?
Cuz it looks cool.
It monitors Speed in Kilo/hour, RPM, Voltage, Trip and since I have the G force sensor it measures the G force on all four corners. Also it measures 0-XXXkph or 0-XXXmeters, estimate power
It's cool little thing, but mostly just for show
It was easy to install, but it was had to find the pinout for the ECU and I still have to guess at somethings and I got it on the first try.

The Wifey doesn't mind so I don't worry bout the sticker. She's a petite little asian chick that weighs about 95lbs to 100lbs so...yeah its cool wit her and she even found it funny
Hey! I wonder where you went
Car's looking good but you need to clean it a bit! it so dirty :smt005
and how hard was it to install that spoiler? need to drill more holes?
Yeah she's getting a wash tonite. The constant snow doesn't help
It was SUPER easy. Since it's replica it only has 4 bolts like our stock spoiler, but two of the wholes dont line up so you have to drill two more holes and cover two.
At the moment I'm rocking two bolts and I'll gone over 100MPH (because I forgot that it was there) and it didn't move ^__^
and Thanks for the radiator shroud DIY man!

How does the car feel at that speed with the spoiler on? stable or about the same with the regular spoiler on? ..and where you get it at?
Definitely post more pics of the spoiler, I'm very interested. It's either this or get the 2.5RS spoiler. And I've been trying to find that Gurney flap for the rear spoiler. It's kinda like a lip add on but no luck..looks like I'm going have to fiberglass one
Yeah, stay tune for another take on the radiator shroud. This time, it's going to be aluminum instead of plastic

Personally I didn't feel any difference, but to think of it I do think it's a bit more stable at high speeds now that you mention it.
I'll see if I get her cleaned up ad have a nice day to take her out for some pics. I get lazy and I don't really have any nice places to take pics at here.
I looked into the RS spoiler, but it looks odd on our cars.

I ran into the deal with this replica that I got and I couldn't turn it down. The dude had totalled his GC so he was selling everything that he took off that car that didn't get damaged.
Look in rs25.com they sometimes have people selling their replicas there. This one is a V5 spoiler. Personally one the V5 and V6 spoilers look good. The V4 and below are our RS spoilers and the V7's are the Sti that we got.

And the RS spoiler doesn't look too bad, i guess if it's at weird angles yes, but the yellow BD in the second picture doesn't look too bad. Now the more i look at the STi spoiler, the more i want to get it  ....seriously, it's so tempting :smt022

Do it get the wing. Replicas can go from 200 to 300 bux. ECS in Mass. sells the replicas brand new for a good price. I can't remember what Paul quoted me once, but give them a shout and they'll let you know.
I love takin pics at a gas station. Definitely enough... more then enough lighting

I am not a big fan of the V5 spoiler on a Legacy. I own an RS Impreza and you can just tell they were meant for the Impreza. They are a bit funky on Legacy. Props for doing something different though.

I like'em on the GC's, but after I put my V5 on my BD. It belongs on no other car but a BD. I liked it before I go it, but I love it now
Specially when I look in my rear view mirror
Good to see you again Ant.
I think with some bigger wheels, you could pull off the wing better. That white one in the picture a few posts up looks pretty good with the wheels it has. Snowflakes + V5 wing = Meh
Car's lookin' great otherwise. I love the stance on the RS*R's.

I still have a kink that I need to work out of this chip for our Gen legacy's, but I'ma make a write up once it's done and working perfectly.
At the moment I do feel improvement in throttle response and more power through out the whole power band and negative on better gas mileage, but it could be that I'm having too much fun with the power gain I got.

Overall the car looks pretty good.
Here is how I think it could look a lotbetter:
Obviously paint the wing to match
Raise the back end about a half inch - some noticeable ass sag
clean & wax - paint looks pretty tired
remove the touge & NA stickers, those really don't add anything but ricer attention
If you did all this the car would look really really sweet, again its almost there. I like the wheels.

Im going to remove a few that were there to cover a few imperfections, but the Touge and the N/Aontherun are there and going to stay.

The rear doesn't sag. The wheel wells are different. The rear is lower the the front making my drop look saggy. Reason and everyone that was at the meet back in June 08 (i think) can testify. Pictures don't do my car justice. The one person that can really tell you how exactly how my car looks like in person is Heresmymind

Yea with these it just APPEARS to look lower in the back. We've had discussions on here and NASIOC about this. At the time when I had my GT and I took measurements and the front and rear was pretty dead on (can't remember the numbers) but the rear wheel well is lower than the front. I'm sure it's for aerodynamics and turning of the front wheels.

The funniest part of this comment is that I went autoX'in yesterday and I ran better times then a few WRX's and Sti's. All of us were in Rookie Street Touring and at the end of the day I was asked by two people. If my car was turbo and I was extremely happy to reply no. Sadly, he was trying to make himself feel better because he has an sti, but i think that made him feel worse. He's a cool guy and he was only slower because he hit a cone. Otherwise he was just as fast as I ^__^
Wish we could have a sl-i meet at an autoX. That would be kick ass
Huffer
03-23-2009, 10:19 AM
Turbo cars are actually hard to control during a tight autox course - if the boost isn't ready the car falls flat on it's face and you have to change gears. NA cars are easier for the novices because you can manage the powerband a lot more.
4n70n1n0
03-23-2009, 02:35 PM
yea, I figure it was something like that, but the experienced WRX's and Sti were cutting times that were like 7 seconds faster then mine. They are crazy fast and the EVO's are the DEVIL!
But this course was LAUNCH, Shift into 2nd, and it was throttle and braking there after. Doesn't matter how this course was. All I know is that it was FUN!!!

Also not sure how I feel about the flat black. The solid green gave it a much more of a sleeper-ish look than the black. If anything, the black completely ghetto-rices the car out. If you're going to go flat black, just paint the entire car flat black and leave the gold wheels. :) THAT would be awesome. All that aside, the car is excellent. Love it.

I'm sorry 4n70n1n0, that lip doesn't look right on the car. It's too DIY'd on there. Unless you can get the sides to line up with the body lines of the bumper.
On other hand, your parking lights are bright! is that LED?

I agree on this picture (http://www.flickr.com/photos/naontherun/4143232346/sizes/l/in/set-72157622896620636/) it looks kinda crapy because there is such a big slant on the front bumper IMO

This is the most secure way I could mount it. I thought bout cutting the GT lip off, but If I ever got tired of this lip. I'd be stuck with a FUGLY GT bumper. I know it doesn't line up, but at least its a lip and it was 60 bux. If I had the money I would def. get a greddy lip, but I just don't have that kinda cash to spend on a lip. I'm not in anyway crackin on ur lip in any way dude. I love the greddy lip and ur car.
Tails are not Led's. Its electrical rats. I have an electrical problem. I think its grounding problem, but it has not kept my car from running Im tired of chasin after it for now.

I know the slant is big, but its what I get for putting a honda lip on a subaru :smt016 It fits nicer on a 3rd gen, but at least its a lip and cheap option for us the 2nd gen. I think of it as lighting the creative flame for us 2nd gen drivers. :smt023
**EDIT: Keep it coming guys, I actually just thought of how to fix that slant

Sorry dude, almost missed your post
No where near a direct fit. Its a lip for a 98 Integra Type R. As you can see from the posts above, yes there is a big slant on the lip. I just bolted the side of the lip to the bumper and then I put about 3 to 4 other screws under to secure the lip. I def. have some work to do to get it to fit nicer, but will come with time :smt023
Good luck

Trim the middle section of the lip and it might slide over the lower BD lip.

I like the lip but it does need a bit more work on the fitting, you could try to use a metal bracket to drop the mounting poing on the ends of the bumper, if you have hella horns you could use those spacers that in that kit.
I dont see anything wrong with the lip, the ends just need to be dropped its level, I had a similar problem on my old celica.
Good luck!!!

So I've been keeping you guys in the dark... kinda

The lip didn't like how I drove into parking lots or the fact that it was a plow in the snow. lol

Those are only for the EJ22. The EJ25D has 4 cams since its DOHC.
Delta does cam regrinds for about 100 bux each cam

Yea I realize that there are 4 cams in the DOHC, I just was wondering if you were fitting these for the EJ251 or just putting them in the ej22 heads. I guess I need to read your posts better.

I'm one step closer in my franken motor build
https://sl-i.net/FORUM/
I got the block now
I found a local guy that was selling two EJ251's for cheap, but you had to take'em both
So I bought'em both
https://sl-i.net/FORUM/
https://sl-i.net/FORUM/

I don't know. The person I bought them from was going to merch both motors into one good EJ251, but then he sold his subaru. So that's why he had to get rid of them. I won't know until I crack'em open(not literally)

My current LGT is just sittng in the storage unit collecting dust and spiders and stuff(parts inside)
so many plans no money, shit not even money to get her back on the road(timing belt and water pump). She runs but dn't know when the T-belt was done last so dont want to be driving around with a ticking time bomb.
One day I'll do it and one day I'll make a new MR thread for the new one
