A/C clutch ?

ok so i don´t know so much about these A/C systems becouse my SUS is the first car i own thad has A/C.

the thing is, i just finished puting the new motor in and i runns fine and all, but the wheel on the A/C compressor turns a litle bit when i start the car and then no more, the button lights up but it dosn´t turn.

is the clutch on the compressor gone or could it be somthing else ?

clutch will only engage if you have your AC on, if it doesnt it means you probably dont have any freon in it, but if you want to check your clutch just throw 12volts at it and it should spin if it doesnt then clutch is blown.

i will have to take pics for you guys, i think the clutch has been damaged by sumthing.
it´s like it was spinning at high speed when sumthing hit it.
