well it seems that i'm a complete dosh and left my power antenna on during a non-touchless carwash. so my antenna went from straight up to straight 45 degrees. i ripped out the antenna mass itself and wanted a rubber antenna like a member on this board. i will take pictures and see if my modifications will work. i found a antenna on ebay so i'll post up updates.

I really like those rubber antennas myself, they are nice. I had one on my first BD, and it looked very good, and was also always 'up'. I wonder if you need to make any modifications to the car (i.e drill holes) to mount them? You should make a DIY!

almost had that incident 2 chung, but luckly the guy at the wash picked it up, i dont need the Hold Switch so i connected my antenna to it so i can switch it up and down. but most times the antenna is connected to the remote of the deck so if you turn the deck off it will retract.

ive got an Antenna X antenna on my BD and I love it. Its very clean and subtle and fits the line of the car.

Why not just run a wire across the back of the interior rear window, and cover up the hole on the outside of the car?
I saw my old BD on the highway once and my father-in-law switched on the radio....the antenna just rose up out of nowhere...it looked trick to me.
