winter tires

what psi should i set them to be. the temp in mn is consistant right now at like 40 degree's F? thx

whatever your door says, like 35 or so i would think.

but wouldn't that be only on stock tires? sorry, i should have posted that i'm running blizzaks.

Regardless of the tires, you should run something close to what's listed on your door card.

If you get odd wear, like the center of your tires wearing faster, play with tire pressure. If the center wears faster, lower your pressure. If the outsides both wear faster than the center, increase the pressure. If one side wears faster, get an alignment.

Also, I'm not sure what kind of Legacy you drive (generation wise) but I know that a BE GT is 32psi front/30psi rear.

I try to run consistent pressures year round. 36/34.

Switching to winter tires this week... we have snow in Cleveland y0!

the BD also lists 32/30psi front back. I find those numbers to be weak. I always put 36/34. Better wear, better tire response

I'm running 35psi all the way around, tires have been on 2 winters now and holding up for another 1 or even 2 winters.

I've been running 32 front 38 rear, but I've been going up in the hills, and understeer = bad when you're on a mountain. :(
