So I figured it all out. I just went to the dealer and bought a bug guard $66.00 best thing I ever got covers all the rust spots on the front of the hood above the grill 166,000 miles and after a coat of wax it looks brand new (with small dents and paint swirls!) and I almost bought a new hood
