Work Emotions Anyone?

I've got a lead on a brand new set I can pick up for a great price.

They are 17x8, ET +47, 5x100.

I'm on Gr2's with Eibachs and I have all my fenders rolled. I plan on running a 225/45/17 tire.

Anyone running anything similar and can verify that they will fit?

+47 offset isn't much different than the +48 most of us use. I would assume those would fit just fine with that size tire.

I had the same set up and the tires rubbed. Depending on the tires it could work. The Toyo Proxes I was running rubbed, but the side wall were "thicker" with a "curb protection".

Where did it rub? Strut tower or fender?

You'llbe fine with an aggressive roll in the back. I've run 17x8, ET48's with 225/45/17 070's, 235/40 RS2's, 235/40 Nexens, and 225/45 P-Zero Neros with no problems.

The 17x8 ET48 sets are the Boosts, the Torques, the G-forces, and the Slips (no pictures on the car yet)

You have any problem with those 18" Superleggeras?

im looking at the ultraleggeras in a 17x8 but i get so much mixed feeling from this board about rubbing when the car is lowered and what-not. didnt want to spend almost 2 gs on wheel and tire combo for the tires to get chewed up from rubbing.

Most of us use the same name across the boards. Then there's the cool guys that like to have different names.

I had a *ton* of room with the Superleggeras. However, they're ET51, and I was running Flaken 512's in a 225/40, which have to be the narrowest 225 ever besides an ES100. I had tons and tons of space.......but I also don't rub with wide 235/40's on 17x8's even with a load, so my car's not the best gauge on the fender side for what fits without mods.
