[Reason]

For future reference I like to get some names of people who would be interested in helping out. People come and go due to their personal life and we aren't mad at that. So sometimes we have to move on or step back for a bit. You can post in this thread to let me know you are interested or you can PM me. All names will be posted for the moderators and myself to be discussed and choose who would best suit the community. We do require a few things before you can become a member.

Requirements

1. Must be a SLi member for a few months
2. Must have Subaru knowledge of some sorts.
3. Can't be a total dick, that position is already taken. :cool:
4. Communication skills is always good, and someone who can spell or uses spell check couldn't hurt either.
5. Some knowledge of how forums are ran
6. If chosen, you Must send beer money to the SLi staff :occasion5:

As long as you meet the requirements listed in the original post, then you're eligible.

In order to be successful though, I would think that you need to be active on the forum in some capacity, at least once every couple of days.

Moderating doesn't mean you have to be right all the time, it means you ensure the board is kept to a standard (hopefully a high one).
So far, every mod we've had has done a great job at this. We have a great community here.

Al that pm I sent was meant for here but I hit the wrong button. But Roger summed it up, we've always had great mods and almost no issues with members being off the handle. Out of all the forums I'm a member to I don't think any of them are as good as this community. Even though most of you are from all over, it's like we got the best of the best here! It's not only the mods duties to keep the board at a high standard but the community as well. Infact it's more important for the community to keep it up rather than the moderators.

Some boards thing that is a moderator post whore the forums that makes a great board....WRONG. Activity is good, but not when it's pointless jibba jabba. I welcome anyone that meets the requirements and I will talk it over with the rest of the mods. Once I hear what they have to say I will go from there.

i haven't been a member on this forum for too long, but i'm all over other subaru forums, such as rs25.com, dirtyimpreza.com, and mnsubaru.com.
i have been a subaru owner since 06, and am on my third subaru. i have knowledge of them, but by no means claim to know everything about them, and am always willing to learn from what others have to say.

RS MN is on my two local forums D-SCE and MNSubaru... I have also known the previous owner of his new to him legacy for over a year. As he is now on SLi, i feel that qualifies me to poke fun at him when fun can be poked....

I would be interested in a Moderator position when my time on this board has eventually met the requirements.

*My Subaru knowledge is fairly well-dressed, as technical/mechanical/electrical knowledge on pretty much anything in general is extremely well-covered.
*I am mature, sensible and neutral on most topics.
*I am currently on the board every day for the most part on several individual occasions.
*I usually refrain from speaking up unless I have something positive or constructive to the conversations.

I generally dislike seeing negativity on forums. When people search threads externally with search engines, they sometimes find the threads that make a forum unreceptive to newcomers. New members should feel as welcome as possible, as you never know where they come from, what knowledge they have not alluded to, or what they can bring to the community to progress knowledge to others.
