Early Christmas gift from my grandparents. They sent me a bunch of euro's and because the dollar is so weak their money stretched much further this year...

This is my first road bike. I've really gotten into biking the last year and a half and I hope that I can gain my confidence on this quickly, as I hope to join the university's bike team and do a few local races this year.

wow, is the entire front fork made out of carbon fiber? That's a nice setup.

The details as I know them:

aluminum frame
carbon fiber fork
shimano 105 flight deck brake/shifters
shimano 105 front/rear derailleurs
shimano 105 crank
forte clipless pedals
alex400 rims

It is very light, you could pick the whole thing up with one hand easily. I've only ridden it once around the block so far because it snowed. I need to take off the tires and replace the rim tape as I've read the tires are prone to blow out because they were assembled not so well at the factory. Other than that just needs the seat adjusted taller and I'm good to go.
