One of my front tow hooks after my car got pulled out of a snow bank that was down a bit of a hill.

The new door after my fun in the snow. I want to get it repainted to match exactly, but my dad won't pay for it to be done professionally since it's not too obvious and the car works.

A couple of the pictures I took this afternoon after I finished my run. The sticker to the left of the plate is a Scottish flag with Ecosse in the middle from out trip there a few years back. Also got the ski racks on waiting for some nice powder.

My nice engine bay, courtesy of the dealership. We had a bunch of engine work done a couple weeks back and when I got it back it was all nice and clean. Probably the cleanest part right now sadly.

My current background now. I took it a few minutes after the few previous as I was driving down the road and the sun was just perfect. I'm a bit obsessive with pictures at times.

Actually taken shortly after the one above at the same spot. I have a thing for the front of BD/BG/BKs. Plus there'll be a trend of only showing the front, rear, and right side of my car. The left almost never shows up in any of my shots.

Shot I took driving down US 50 west of Placerville. Yes I was driving, don't bitch at me about safety. The sky was too impressive to pass up.

Yea, it's one of those colors you don't see on 2nd gen. Legacys a lot. It's a bit awkward to match anything like rims to though.

Gunmetal or black rims will look perfect on that color. Welcome to the family ;)

If you really want that door to match, paintscratch.com sells exact match paints. That is, if you are a do-it-yourselfer. :smile:

If I do any rims that are a different color it'd probably be black, but I'd probably stay with silver. And thanks.

I was looking at that, but I don't really have any knowledge or means to paint a door. I was thinking about trying to teach myself, but it'll be a while. If I could convince my dad to get the whole car detailed and the door painted that would be best since it has a lot of small scratches on it.

I knew the 2nd gens came with the later style engines...

yes the 30th ann. came with the phase 2 2.2 motor, not the 2.5

sweet dude! i haven't seen one in that color in a while. if you're up in EDH, you're not that far from where i live. you should hit the saturday night meets in natomas if you get a chance.

I knew the 2nd gens came with the later style engines...

'99 L 30th Anniversery Edition would have the Phase 2 Ej22 SOHC if i recall correctly.

It's the newer map based engine though (not maf)... which surprises me... perhaps it's a late '99 or maybe the Legacy got the MAP based EJ's SOHC a year before the Imprezas.

I would assume it's a late model too for having that set up.

That's the same engine that Crappacio(Spelling? New member.) is looking to replace from his GF's dead legacy.

i live in downtown sac myself. the natomas meets are off of del paso road, kinda near Arco. i know it's a bit of a drive for you, but we always meet up by the Borders on truxel and del paso, starting around 8-ish or so, sometimes later.

have you ever hit the rallyX events on Prairie City Road? last time i was there (about 6 months ago or so), there were quite a few BG/BK legs, and all kinds of imprezas. really cool stuff!

If I get a free Saturday evening I may think about checking those out. I could use more exposure as I'm still learning a lot, plus I don't mind the drive at all.

I may have heard about the RallyX, but I've never been. The car's technically my parent's still so I can't do too much to it or with it.
