While taking off from a ferry ride onto land, the chain snapped and resulted with a few scratches and bruises and the bike being written off. After i took ownership, I stripped it down

I was going to but I just had bought a house and used the extra money to fix a few things. I like to get one while the prices are down. But if I can't until spring I might try to buy a new one.

Get yourself an RK chain and ditch the rusted one! I would have had the rims chromed. I love your bike man. I can't wait to get one, we need to ride together. I looked at the 91 750 I told you about and it was a POS. it been down a few times, had a shitty paint job, bent and chipped front rim and the bike looks like it gets left out in the weather. It had 20k too and he wanted $2,000 for it. I should have offered him $400 for it, it was a mess.

Still trying to come up with an idea since this one is outta my pocket and not being sponsored.


I got attached to the "clean" look. Not to mention I bought some new pegs and a solo seat cover. That was some coin that I could've saved to paint the whole bike a different color. I'm doing it all myself, so time and cash are scarce. My biggest time killer is the 911 Targa in the background of the first pic. Has to be done before the end of August and it is a complete rebuild.

Here's what it looks like as of Saturday. I removed all the masking paper to put it away for the day.

I'm stuck up to my neck with work right now, but when time frees up and if it don't sell, i'll be working on it again for this season. I was entertaining the idea of setting it up as a Streetfighter as an homage to the era where they became popular... the late 90's- early 2k. However, I can't bring myself to chopping it up. Maybe just strip the front end off and do a headlight set up and bellypan?
