i think i might have a problem with my tranny.. see what you guys can make of this: one morning i pull away in 1st gear and when i depress the clutch to shift to 2nd, i hear a thud and i feel it as well, and then 2nd gear wouldnt go in. that happened a few times n then it was fine for the rest of the ride. the next day, i pulled away from a red light and went to about 6000 rpm and when i hit the clutch, same loud clunk... i was afraid to even try throwin 2nd gear in. any idea what this could be? it happens rarely, but im concerned about it.

Um, let off the gas so you maintain speed, then depress the clutch. Works on mine.

Lucky you with your fancy 6,000 RPM redline.

Not sure. But definately not a good thing. How long since the clutch was last replaced?

dont all N/A BDs have a 6500 RPM redline??

clutch was replaced about 10000 miles ago at a professional shop. i had an exedy stage 1 clutch installed along with an ACT streetlight flywheel and a clutch kit thing for subaru transmissions.

Not when the fucking ECU freaks out and goes into limp mode.

I dunno what to say about the shudder thing. Mine does it if I don't coordinate the clutch and gas just right, but it sounds like your car is doing something else.
