I accidentally crossed my jumper cables when I jumped my 98's battery (too big a hurry and no time to spare) when I replaced my door lock fuse and got it to start again I realized that my drivers door no longer unlocks after one push of the unlock button. I now have to hold it to unlock ALL the doors just to unlock my drivers. How do I fix this?
Also, the horn beep drives me nuts when I set and undo my alarm. Any way to disable this?

mine will unlock just the drivers like he said on one touch, hold it down and it will do them all. I hate the churp of the alarm when you arm and disarm it also. i could understand the arm, but ive never heard an alarm churp before on the disarm.
maybe reset the key FOB? see if that would do anything. I dunno what could have happened to not let the remote control the drivers door but will unlock it with all the doors.

I have a similar problem when I press the Lock button in my car, every door will lock except my driver side door (which Ihave to flick the tab.) Is that a problem with the door lock, or does every car do this?

It sounds like a problem with the driver's side door lock. I had a cop use a 'slim jim' to get me into my car when I locked the keys inside, which must have disconnected something from the power lock mechanism. I could lock and unlock all the doors from the inside, but from the outside, the lock did not work.

use remote, unlock all doors, hold both buttons on the remote (so the light on the remote is NOT on), wait until it beeps once, should be disabled.

Ok. Tried that and all it did was set off my "Panic" mode. Also, I have no light on my remote.
