Tonight my wifes car decided to get a little too hot for comfort so I take it home and do the "Burp" thing. Thinking that cured it I dorve it around the neighborhood...no such luck. I start to think the T-stat is shot so I pull it and silicone the are on the housing so I could run without it. Leaked like a damn sive.
I was looking at the T-stat and decided it needed an overhaul just fo I could use the seal that come on it.
I took some big ass snipers and cut the two arms that hold the spring in and it all fell apart form there.
I re-installed it into the car and no leaks.
YAY!!!
