Over this weekend we had snow here in CT and Danbury was a sheet of ice (in some parts). I was going to the bank on Sunday and slipped on some ice and hit a curb. My passenger wheel was pushed up against the fender and I bent my passenger front lower control arm. On Monday I went to a Auto Shop and got my control arm replaced with a new one(directly form subaru dealership) and now the wheel is where it's supposed to be and the car drives fine. Left the shop and the car is making this weird WOOUH noise. It sounds like the tire is rubbing against something, but it's not. I thought maybe a unbalanced wheel? So I went and got it balanced and it's still there. My friends said maybe your wheel got bent, but the car drives fine and the steering wheel doesn't shake.
I'm lost guys. HELP PLEASE.
Also someone else at work said maybe my axle?
Any input is greatly appreciated
THANKS

That's likely to be the wheel bearing. If you hit a curb hard enough to damage the control arm, you also likely damaged the wheel bearing. It could also be damage to the hub assembly that the wheel / cv axle mount to, or the steering knuckle itself is bent.

That's likely to be the wheel bearing.
I agree with this diagnosis. It sounds like a roar as speed increases, it get's louder, correct?

Yeah it does, as my speed increases the noise gets louder.
The odd thing about how I hit the curb is that I wasn't going fast at all. Just damn understeered and hit that damn thing, better the curb then the pole that was 3 feet in front of that curb
Thanks Guys I'll let me give that information to my mechanic

A wheel bearing it is. I went to the mechanics yesterday after work and it was a wheel bearing, but I'll have him check all of the other suggestions as well just to make sure everything else is okay.
THANKS everyone

My Baby is back to normal  YAY!
It cost me $150 to replace the front passenger wheel bearing(parts&labor).
I've never had any job done in my Legacy, but the total repair cost was:
Front Passenger Lower Control Arm - $205 (FROM DEALERSHIP)
LABOR - $75
Front Passenger Wheel Bearing - $75
LABOR - $75
TOTAL = $430
Hope I don't have to do this again
