View Full Version : ok its back on the road ej25 clutch same fit as the ej22?

im still in need of a new clutch bad though and im still kind of a noob so im looking ebay for it as i was pointed that way and found this

for now its a little over kill but looking to the future.......

however it says its for the ej25 and ive got an ej22, will it still fit?

the only thing that would determine it fitting is the imput shaft spline number and diameter, and the bolt spread to the flywheel. I can't be sure if it will work or not, maybe somebody with an EJ22 that's been apart can chime in...


by the way, IMHO Im not sure If I would go with that clutch. I was looking at various setups over the summer when my motor was out, and I ended up with going with an Exedy unit that wasn't very expensive. I don't know anything about that brand, and with clutch material it's you get what you pay for. It may say it holds a bajillion lb-ft of torque but it could be a wafer thin disc that warps if you look at wrong.

As long as you have a push type 5-speed transmission (i.e. non turbo) I think it'll fit.

You may want to go to the N/A forum of NASIOC and search there as there are a few more 2.2l guys there.
