HEY GUYS (and girl) -

Ok, so I finally got my new car and got everything fixed that the dealership tried to scheister me with.

Now, i have a couple of questions with what I bought:

99 Legacy GT Limited | Sedan | Auto | 35k miles

The light on the station number buttons (4, 5, & 6) are out on the stereo (stock stereo). is there a way to fix this like the climate control lights?

On the stereo there's Track Forward and Track Back buttons for the CD portion of the stereo. There's also Disc Up and Disc Down buttons. I know that it was an option to have a cd-changer, but the stereo doesn't seem to take more than one disc and those buttons don't appear to do anything. are they just "in-case" buttons for if the cd-changer option is installed?

It has tinted "safety glass". Does "safety glass" mean that all the windows are shatter-resistant like the windshield?

..i think that's all my questions....otherwise i'm pretty knowledgable about this car having owned a 96 LS for 6 years.

-thanks guys (and girl)

 damn, if it were a 5 spd I would have to try to find a way to steal it from you. I want another black GT :-(

I'm not sure about the radio. As for the glass I'm not sure if they just tin the glass or put film in it like a windshield. When I got hit my glass shattered and held together like a windshield would but it wasn't tinted.

to fix burnt out LED youd have to take head unit apart and solder new ones in and its a lot of work for absolutely nothing i've done it in my old GT took me like 3 hours total from start to finish. oh and i think its only one LED for all three buttons. (depends on the stereo)

for CD up and Down if you dont have cd changer they are useless, for it to be a in dash 6 disk changer it will say it on the unit itself right above or below cd inlet.

as for safety glass dont crash it and youll never know. seroiusly i dont have a clue if they all are safety but if you have tint on them and you do crash they will not shudder in tiny little pieces rather work like a windshield does difference only that windshiled has film between two layers of glass while tints are on the inside of your car ( i had my rear window knocked out before and the moron took two hits to break it)

hope this helps congrats on the new car

Mine were like that too, but I take back my last post, my glass stayed together because I DID have aftermarket tint.

is it safety glass because it goes down at an angle so little kids don't climb out the back window? i swear i read it somewhere as crazy as it sounds...

That's really because the glass doesn't fit in the doorframe.
