The daughter took out both fog lights running off the road to avoid hitting a RABBIT!!! Is there a less painfull way to replace them without getting factory lights? This is a 1998 Outback Wagon.

Get some cheap replacements from an autoparts store, drill the bumper and tap into the wires.

Get the daughter to pay for them
I agree with Huffer. You will have to mount them yourself but they will be cheaper and probably put out more light.
You can also check out Ebay, but I don't think that the prices will be much better than the dealer.

Hella 500 foglights not only will vastly outperform your previous foglamps, they'll outdo your headlights as well. They are available everywhere. This place has them real cheap and you don't have to pay tax:

They're a tight fit, and you might have to do a little drilling, but these lights are downright awesome. Throw on some rockblocker (www.rockblocker.com (http://www.rockblocker.com)) to protect your new investment.

Thanks for the info. I already ordered them based on a previous reply. I got them $1.15 cheaper from Autoaccessconnect.com. [shipping+total]
