So long story short, somehow the ABS ring gear that goes behind the hub, part of the gear is broken.

So i took the Cruise control ABS fuse and ABS solenoid fuse out. now im running just as if i dont have ABS.

is that safe to do? long term wise? i need to order that piece this week, hopefully nothing major happens.

is the ring gear not part of the wheel bearing assembly? I've never seen the subaru one but I know on GM's thats it's part of the bearing, has to be replace as a whole unit.

It's bolted down to the back of the hub. it was weird how subaru set this up. But I've been running the car with the fuses pulled, and it runs fine. as if it didn't have ABS to start out with.

you'll be as safe as any car without abs... so you'll be fine unless you get into an emergency situation where you can't pump the brake fast enough...

There's plenty of cars on the road that don't have ABS...and plenty of bad drivers that do.

Yeah, I found out it broke the morning coming to work, when all the sudden my brakes started pulsating...the ABS thinks my passenger tire is slipping lol.

But I've been driving it like this until the part comes in.

I tell ya man, you tried to fix something and next thing you know..something else breaks..
