soooo i want to know if there is any way you can pull the codes from a 1999 legacy your self or do i need to pay my mecanic a visit ?

Call some of the auto parts stores and see if they have a code reader that they will pull the codes for free or not. Stateside there's quite a few places that do.

damn i hate obd2..... i love pulling codes with a paper clip on my integra.
