My serpentine belt tends to squeal under acceleration after sitting at a stop light or something like that. Also seems to do it especially much when its colder outside.

Any way to fix/alleviate this?

Your car doesn't have a serpentine belt. Check to make sure the alternator/powersteering belt has a decent amount of tension. I'd also check the belt to make sure it's not glazed or cracked. Do the same for the AC belt. The belts are cheap to replace if they are in need of it. If that doesn't cure it, you might have something getting hung up, like the clutch on the AC compressor.

oh, right. I guess you knew what I meant. If the clutch on the ac compressor is hanging up would the ac stop working?

I had some issues with this as well. Turned out it was my AC. To diagnose this I recommend turning you AC on and off to see if you can hear a difference in the sound. Also applying a simple belt dressing could fix your problem as well. Good luck.
