just did this today, off a couple other posts, made my own write up, in order to "keep it stupid simple"
1 - - 2
3 4 5 6
The Switch
OFF ON
--- 0 BY=1=ground for the ”on” bulb
--- *
--- 0 YL=5= 12 volt constant power----------foglight independent MOD
--- 0 White=3= out to relay or lights
--- 0 NOT USED=6= could be used for another set of lights
- 0 YL=2=12 volt power for illumination light
- *
- 0 WY=4=ground for illumination light
*=bulbs
0=contacts
Foglight independent MOD
This worked for ME!!! Might not for you, only way to find out is try.
Cut the YL #5 slot in the back plug and connect it to a constant 12 volt power source if you connect straight to the battery then make sure to use a inline fuse. This gave me independent fog lights when the car was shut off with low beams and high beams

so i just cut yellow number 5 and connect it to any constant 12V source ?
if it´s as simple as thad then i´ll be a very happy guy

it worked for me, you can test it thou before you cut, get a long peice of wire and put a fuse on the end attach the fused end directly to the battery and strip the other end stick it into the #5 slot, turn the swtich on, and see if the light turn on with the headlights off.
worked on my 95

Just wire them off independently - though I would try to have them wired into the ignition so they're not live unless the ignition barrel is turned.
