Not sure about the green vinal strip on the windsheild. But both cars look nice. Like the "COOl" people on here would say. "Hey ricer show us some pics of you civic in Members Ride II". :D

or... "Hey ricer show us some pics of you civic in Members Ride II so we can bash the hell out of it". I'd like to see more of that RS in the other section as well. Any plans for the legacy other than covering it from frame to moonroof in vinyl?

I forgot to comment on your car, Phillip! :?
I'm kinda likin' the vinyl, but I don't think I'd do it, I always like to have a good view out the "top" of the windshield because they post some of the lights a little strangely (I guess its for the people in Hummers and Escalades ) Can we see some more pics with the engine and the interior? You said you love vinyl, I'd like to see what kind of interior touches you did :)
Nice RS
Post up the civic and the RS in Member's Rides II ;)
You're never a ricer for owning any kind of car, you're only a ricer if you dress up the car distastefully, IMHO. No one has any right to flame you for owning a civic.

:smt064 the civic was $50, I couldn't say no.

Still lovin the bumper.
If you really wanted to go with the outback look, you could paint sideskirts and the rear bumper black :D

Can you please tell me the process of what needs to be done to install it? Car looks amazing btw
phi11
12-09-2007, 03:22 PM
so, yesterday I set up an install in a heated garage,
I've been dripping oil onto my headers,
so we did the timeing belt, oil pump gasket, and front main seal.
total time: two hours.
we also found that I have a hole in my valve cover,
so i'll need a new one of those.
did a test fit of the exhaust that mr. choung
sold to me, and that will work, just need a welder.
I started to go two tone!!!!!

hey, I thought that I would post a photo of how it is now,
before I put the winter bumper, tires, and light bar on.
so this is my 3rd bumper,
JDM fogs, grill, and lights.
it's a USDM GT bumper, that I fixed, (abs bondo), painted, and trimmed.

grill, bumper, fogs, and aero guards ALL come off, for iceracing.
plus, I'm painting my studded tires. :smt016

You only have to either tape off the surrounding area if you just spray it or cut a thin piece of cardboard place it in there and spray around it.

Small paint brush, steady hand.
OR
mask off the center of the wheel, spray the red lip first, then when dry mask off the lip, spray the rest of the wheel
OR
mask off the lip, spray the wheel, then when dry mask off the wheel and spray the red lip.
I like the 2nd option.

I parked it in my garage in july. Haven't had any time to tear it apart.

I am going to rebuild all of my calipers and reinstall my aero guards.
also working on a rear trunk.

the car has been running for about three weeks now.
took the heads in to be machined, cut the valves, new valve seals, blasted.......
while the car was down, (6 months)
I took the H&R springs out and installed the stock GT ones.
resealed the power steering pump and got a new battery.
also, I rebuilt the front brakes.

Is that a bracket to stiffen up the brake booster/master cylinder from moving? If so was there a noticeable difference in pedal feel?

it was made for the GC/GM/GF
but it fits the BD,

I got some adhesive remover on the matte black vinyl. So I had to strip the vinyl. :smt013

I'm going to try doing some vinyl next winter to add protection to the car. What thickness did you use?
pretty much all I use is the "Gerber High Performance Series 220" which is made by 3M™
I cut/layed vinyl at three different sign shops in ten years, and I think 220 is the best.
We currently use it at GrimmSpeed™
product bulletin * HERE (http://www.gspinc.com/downloads/PDF/materials/PB-%20Gerber%20HP%20Series%20220.pdf) *
most of the vinyl that I used to cut for SL-i was mostly 220 as well, everything but the pink.
Power steering rack and pump showed up, waiting for the bushings!
thinking about doing both sway bars at the same time.
summer rims are currently being primed.

large update:
so I had a bearing go out in the transmission.
I replace it with a '98 Forester Transmission for $200.
installed new group N tranny mount
all new shift bushings, kartboy subframe bushings,
new flywheel and clutch.
just ordered new exhaust gaskests, for I have a huge leak somewhere.
I also cut my USDM GT bumper to take some hella Driving lights.
(I wasn't going to pay for a GT-B bumper, photos when it quits raining)
so for the recored, I drive a GT w/an Impreza DOHC engine & a forester transmission, lol.

well, I think it's almost time to lock this thread and start a new.

I'll still be driving the BD as a daily, while I do the paint/body work on the BK.
