First off, let me clarify that I read through the sticky topics, did a search, and scanned a few pages of topics, and didn't find an answer to this specific question. Lots of info I'll use later, but not what I need right now.

So, the previous owner of my car was a painter, and there were little paint smudges here and there all over the place, mostly the door panels, some on the dash/console/etc. It was driving me nuts, and no normal cleaning method would take them off. After all, they've all been curing for over five years. In a fit of desperate stupidity, I got some paint thinner and a brillo pad. Took it right off. What I didn't realize until the panels dried is that it also removed most of the color in the areas I really had to scrub. I knew this could happen, but it seemed to be a good idea at the time anyway.

I'd love to gut the whole interior and paint it all black, which would negate this question, but I just don't have the time, the right weather, and I can't afford to ground the car right now. SO

with my Mustangs, lots of stang resto places sell spray cans of year/model correct factory colors that are a perfect match for the interior. Is anything like this available for Subarus? Like I said, I'm not crazy about my 1990 blue interior, but right now I'd rather touch up my door panels than attempt a full interior color change, as it's really out of the question at least until spring. Thanks for reading

I actually used to have a 1966 mustang that I restored, so I know exactly the stuff you're talking about. After my motor/dash swap in my impreza, the tan interior didn't match the black/grey WRX dash, and I went looking for the same thing.

Unfortunately, there's no subaru specific OEM color match available for you. However, you might get lucky with a generic color that will look close enough.

I used Vinyl and Fabric spray that I found at an auto parts store for the vinyl on my car, and recovered any of the fabric. I did try to spray it on the fabric though, and it was only mildly effective, the fabric and foam backing stuff soaks a LOT of it up. I never went back and ordered the actual plastic and vinyl dye I used to re-black my dash in the mustang, but I bet it would work better.

Good luck!

Thanks! I guess I'll just have to do my swap to black one panel at a time. Oh well.
