I was wondering, would it look bad if I painted my JDM side markers to match my BK? I have a Sandstone '99 Wagon, that has matching color door molding. The JDM side markers that I have are not painted, i.e. they are the black plastic that is on some cars.

Can I paint this small section, and have it look ok? Really the area that needs to be painted is about 1 sq. inch, per light. I know that some JDM markers are body colored, I just want to know if this is going to work?..... Thanks again.

Could you post a picture of what you're talking about? I'd normally just say color match it, but I'm having trouble visualizing it.

If your molding is black keep them black, if they are color matched paint the JDM marker trim

Thanks reason, that was what I was thinking. The car has color matched trim, and the side markers are not, they are the textured plastic. I hope these pictures work.
This is what I have got......

The current blanks:

The JDM markers:

This is what I want to do:

I hope the pictures worked. I want to color match the small black area behind the marker in picture 2, so when installed it will look like picture 3. Thanks for the help!

Honestly Shazz, I think that last picture was of your car! Good to hear that a color match will work. Were your side markers the black textured plastic?

Yea, I'd say def. color match them. And for cardomain pics, just take off everything before the second "http://...."

Hey! I fixed my own pictures! Yeah I wanted to color match them too, what would need to do to do that? Clean them, then prime and paint?

I say sand it with a fine sand paper so that the paint will stick better and then clear coat it. I just got mine as well and I'm going to paint them this weekend.

GOOD LUCK!
Post pics of it painted after you are done.
