hey guys last year i started make fiberglass car specific subboxes and doing research on intakes proved that it is a bit of a hassle for everything to line up. i was wondering what everyone thought about a fiberglass intake... i have seen this done with carbon fiber for hondas and i figured since the ebay intakes sometimes dont serve well due to too much loss in low end torque that i would fiberglass an intake that had a sort of tumor towards the throttle body. i am gonig to CAD it up within the next couple of days and post some pics. please give me some feed back. and i am also hoping that if this is successful that i will make a couple so i would like to know if anyone else would be inteerested in such a thing.

Sure, more car specific parts would be nice. Would the glass be heat resistant and cold resistant? Otherwise you're looking at a pretty narrow market.

no i did some research and fiberglass can resist heat up to 1200 degrees and i am pretty sure it will with stand the cold. the only problem i could think of is making the nossles for the hoses coming off.

for the hose stuffs, home depot has brass fittings for the connectors your looking for. so long as the resin is thick on the outside and inside, i cant think of any problem with this! DO IT!
