what did circuit city do!?

so i just got a remote start installed on my 00 LGT. they had some problems with bypassing the security system, they said they got it to work but the alarm does not go off if someone/something has tampered with the car. i locked my self in the car and opened the door. the alarm is supposed to go off correct? well it didnt. what do you think has gone wrong?

i think they disconnected your alarm...

i check it and its not. i called them this morning and they said that the factory alarm is impossible to have with the remote start. the factory alarm cant be bypassed.

Your first problem was having Circuit City do the install. I had 4 friends working installs at the same one and what they didn't know the learned on the job. It was all trial and error. I was going to get a job there but decided not to just because of that.

I bring mine to a car audio place that knows what there doing. Best Buy/.... has some kids most of the time that like that kind of stuff or wanna learn. I know a few people that worked at these places and i would NEVER let them touch my car. The only thing that sux is u already paid these people to do it, but thats also a good thing. You PAID these guys to DO the job. They didnt, so take it back there show them that is doesnt work. As long as you didnt do anything to break it,they should figure out how to fix it. Did you buy a whole alarm system or just a remote start system(if they make that). What brand?

Circuit City and Best Buy = failure at life. I'm weary about Tweeter installs. I done most of my installs. I have a buddy that is a wiz at installs at this stuff and we all just call him up if we need him. We already have him lined up for 4 alarm installs into motorcycles. Do yourself a favor, find a buddy like this.
