Bought an SMT6 from them a two years ago, they were running a special on it an shafted me on the deal they were running, the only thing that made it worth while was the deal they had. They didn't post a phone number on their website at the time. Email form only. Emailed them a dozen or so times. Talked to Bernie and Sean via email, got no where, finally got a phone number, dozens of calls only to leave voicemail that is never returned. Bottom line is they shafted me out of $400. When I finally gave up it was to late to do a charge back on my credit card too, so I got totally fucked.

You're talking about a problem you had TWO years ago...

In comparo - I ordered a set of sparkplugs 4 months ago... 2 months go by and I discover that they do not fit the DOHC engine (not long enough). I email them and I get TWO replies back, along with an return#. Within 4 days of sending back the part, they credited my card back with the correct amount including tax.

Do you have a receipt from your order? Have you tried to pursue it since? Did you file a complaint with the BBB?

how about the shitty tune the did on my friends wrx? nearly costing him a motor. thank god we caught it in time.

peaking a stock motor wrx at 23 psi! wtf were they thinking. on the way home it hit boost cut and we were like wtf... that was the first thing, we took it back and told them to fix it. all they did was set the boost cut higher to 25 psi.. yeah that was the smart way to fix it!! not. 25 pounds of boost on a stock wrx motor is not good. not to mention it was lean, and a knock sensor was picking up knocks when we checked it out our self with the utec.

we checked my other friends tune to see how bad it was... pig rich... not knocking... and a safer tune, but his mpg were sucking, and wasnt making the power he should.

so thats 2 for 2 tunes they fucked up. great job guys! ive been wondering how they got the good rep they have ever since then... i havnt been impressed. not saying they are always that bad... but ive yet to have a good experience with them. i will never take my car there. PRE is another one im boy cotting now. they are just a bunch of knowledge less idiots lol.

lucky for you it worked out, hopefully they have some new management there. I bought my SMt6 in December 05, my last phone call and email to them was October 06. After a year of pestering I exhausted my options. When I rarely got an email response they kept assuring me they would make good, so I kept giving them a chance. I should have just done a chargeback while I still could. They took my money and ran, $400 of it, let it be known, they are scumbags.

That sucks, too bad, Sean seems like a nice guy. I talked to him MANY times via email about all types of shit have never had to talk to me about. Always replied with with more detail than I was looking for.

Anyway theres a section where you can give a company some sort of rating in the vendor section. If the said company isn't there you can make a thread for it.... I think

My biggest complaint with RalliTek is that they are always wanting to fit my car with GC parts. David Bush (really nice guy) thought GC KYB's and GC springs would work perfectly on my car.. They don't, and they didn't even know they made Legacy specific springs!

Other than that they have always been very professional with me. They did a great job replacing my clutch. Overall I'm a satisfied customer. They did a nice job installing my suspension, I just don't like the spring rates and didn't like getting talked into something I'm not extremely pleased with.

Maybe I am just one of the lucky ones but I have never had any problems with Rallitek in the 5-6 years I have owned subies. They have treated me better than any other business out there when it comes to my subie. Most of these new shops, i cant even get their attention becasue I dont have a wrx, sti or a new lgt.
Yeah at times I got charged some high prices on things in the past and also have gotten awesome deals but what do you expect when your car is almost ten years old and parts are really hard to come by?!

They had some issues in the past but things have changed alot since they hooked up with IPD.
I cant say anything about their tuning as I have never really had a tune from them but it sucks to hear bad things. to me, I wouldnt consider them to be a tuning shop but more of a repair/performance part shop.
As far as the tranny issue goes, you shouldnt have waited so long. keep calling, keep emailing, post something on a forum to get their attention or get someones attention that can get a hold of them for you. If this was something new I would call Sean myself and let him know about the issue but there is not much I can do for you now.

Peugoby this may be because they dont really deal with the older cars performance parts anymore. They can still oreder stuff and install it but you pretty much have to do the research of the parts you want and that will work best for you.

Rallitek rubbed me the wrong way back when I ordered an IPD swaybar from them. The bar was supposes to come with bushings, mount, and endlinks as listed on their site. I got a bar and a pair of mount bushings. I called them and asked them about it, and after many many further calls arguing the fact that their site said the bar came with the stuff, and didn't, they finally agreed to send the endlinks and mounts out to me. I waited, and waited, and waited. I finally went to install the bar, only to find out that it didn't fit. I found it was the forester rsb after checking part numbers IIRC. I called them, again, and Sean and Bernie both insisted that it would work. I also found that they still hadn't shipped the missing parts, and had no idea when they would ship. I asked for a return label and returned the swaybar to them. After a few days and another phone call, they finally credited my card.

From there on out, I only did business with Teague's (aka: Boxer4Racing). I've NEVER had a problem with them and they've always seemed very eager to help me with whatever problem I've had. If I get another subie, I'll still continue to do business with them. Rallitek lost my business.

I've known Sean for years...back when he had a wicked Pinto...!

I have never had a problem with their Products or service yet.

I have Purchased ipd sways , PPSMT-6 + install, perrin crank pulley, kingsprings, Borla header.

I think the merger with IPD will smooth things out alot ...they are a huge company....So I would worry too much about now ...

It seems that anyone local to Rallitek swears by them, but many of us from across the country have had a lot of problems with them. I've spoken with Sean and a couple of the other people at Rallitek in the past over the phone and they've always seemed like decent people for the most-part. I think it comes down to not having enough resources to cover their business. Maybe merging with another company was a wise move on their part, but I still don't plan to do business with them unless it's something I can't get elsewhere.

This is how I feel.... Shortly after my fiasco started, they sent out an email about restructuring the company. That's really the reason why I waited so long before I called it quits with them. I talked to Sean pre-sales and he was helpful. After I bought it, no returned phone calls.

i dont think everybody swears here by them personally i have not heard great things and pre is steep in their prices . i would rather do everythinh my self and not outsource the work to my subies
