Whistle...and it ain't tunes

Well I have had a problem for a few weeks now. When I get on the throttle like entering the highway or passing cars. I hear a whistling sound coming from the car. I can't tell where it's coming from but it doesn't sound good, unless my car was a turbo.

Anyone have any ideas??

1. did you check your belts
2. did you have the brakes done and forget the loub between the brake and cliper
3. check your bearings
4. check your CV joints

Could be a vacuum leak too.

sounds like vacuum leak to me....our Van does that very slightly when we get above 80 mph...(so I've heard it a lot on this trip that I'm on :D)

Yeah, mine has that turbo whine sound...... i call it the phantom turbo :twisted:

mine makes a whistle also but thats only when my radio is set to line in, but i think thats just a bad ground, someone wanna help me with that? hehe

How about your mirrors? Mine never whistled on the 91, but on my 92, I get a high-speed whistle from the joint where the mirror folds.
