the springs and struts will fit but i think that they are the same. can someone else clarify this? Im not positive on motor and tranny but if its a GT BD then the motor will be the same and the transmissions should be the same unless ones an auto and the other doesnt match. the rear end is also the same unless the rs came with LSD.
Subarus really are like legos. From 91-08 there are an uncanny amount of parts that are interchangeable.

The springs will work on the legacy struts, but you have to use the impreza tophats on the impreza springs. This WILL drop your car 1.5-2 inches, and the rear end will be lower.

i am not using the tranny it is 4eat, if anyone is interested in buying it, cheap.......
any other parts just ask me if you want them I'm sure ill sell for cheap!!
but anyways the motor will bolt up to my tranny rite?? what about the clutch, which one do i use from my 2.2 or from the 2.5
someone told me that I could use my 2.2 clutch but I would have to use the 2.2 flywheel, is this true?? im just asking to clarify this so i wouldnt have to go and buy a 2.5 tranny
I was also told that if I did use a 2.2 tranny it wouldnt last long, how true is this??

First of all, check to make sure the 99 RS has a DOHC engine, not a SOHC. If it's SOHC it won't be a plug n play deal.
Second, don't use RS springs - they're made for a lighter car and therefore the rebound will be all out of wack.
Third - the 2.2 transmission will be able to handle the extra "power" but don't be surprised if you end up having to relearn all your shifting patterns. I expect that you'd ride the clutch a lot more until you get used to it.

yeah, so i can use my clutch and flywheel from the 2.2??, and the dohc is a plug and play situation, but the sohc isn't???
Two more nice things that are direct bolt-on swaps from the 2.5RS: Front seats and Wheels!
