For direct replacement and correct strut length, K-Sport make a BD/BG coilover.

For the possibility of mish-mashed parts to get the ride you want, 02-04 WRX coilovers will work with some finagling.

Search around. Q's been answered many times in multiple ways. :)

So what kind of fanageling are we talking about here? I've got an opportunity to pick up some '04 WRX Godspeed type SS coilovers at a good price. Think I can make them fit?

That is my '99 Wagons conversion. I think it is similar between the wagon and sedan.... Honest, I can't remember. Lol I can sa I love them. It is rougher on the Teins, but it is what I wanted.

These have good reviews and are cheap

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayI ... 546wt_1097 (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=300444701233#ht_3546wt_1097)

Ride is still decently comfortable and comes with a 5 year warranty

I am planning on giving them a go

Yeah, I was a little worried because the first one I saw was on a honda forum but he said the S-techs were horrible and this was a massive improvement (like thats hard from what I have heard)

here is the one that made me a few other people on the site change our mind about these

eh i searched on nasioc and not that much good reviews.

most of the good reviews is from civics and 240 crowd.

Right so I found what I thought, They are cheap and only used by Civics and 240's so they are definitely crap because all honda and 240 owners are 16yr boy racers that want uncomfortable bouncy rides.

However people who have actually used them and have had shitty suspension before say that these are good and not as harsh as an s-tech or the like and perfectly acceptable for an agressive daily driver but people still say they are lying.

Unless I missed the thread where somebody said they failed or lasted a week or whatnot (it's possible)

What I am saying is for $500 why not give it a shot and if I am the guinea pig for it then so be it.

ETA: I would like to point out if someone says that they have actually used these and they failed or a friend of thiers had some and they failed I will change my mind. I am not an idiot in that respect. However so far I have yet to find such a person.

Just waiting to get a job since I am unemployed and a student lol. But they are cheaper to the same price a KYB GR2's and H&R springs but thats about as low as I would go, not in it for an ultra low ride.

Found out from the PO that I am still running the ORIGINAL Struts. thats right just about 150k miles. Ride isn't bad but a little too soft

Ok, so i finally got took the pics i promised. Sorry for the delay, and the fact that they came from a shitty quality camera phone due to the fact that the digital camera that was available had dead batteries. AND excuse the fact that their filthy. I jumped a curb drifting in a parking lot and snapped my tension rod...

https://sl-i.net/FORUM/images/imported/2010/07/6d_101905_f2138a4_tn-1.jpg

So I never cleaned things up, just got my car to the shop to put the kazaama rods on were i took these pics.

So a review:

These arent the normal godspeed coilovers. A small background story. I ordered the regular godspeed rs? i believe but the ebay company called me and said they didnt have those in stock, and agreed to give me the "hyper rs" instead for the same price. These coilovers cost me 650$ shipped. Im not exactly sure what the difference is.

The install was very straight forward. Didnt run into a single problem (also due to the fact that I had a certain caveman running the show, and well, theirs nothing he cant do with an s13.)

At first the at full soft the coilovers were a bit bouncy. (i think due to the helper spring desiign similar to hks or apex i) Though felt very solid. I didnt like this so i went 6 clicks from full soft in the rear and it tightened up beautifully. This is were i left it and its perfect. The front didnt bounce as much after the rear was tightened but i went 4? clicks from full soft and this is were I left it.

I love these coilovers. Especially considering i only paid 600$ for them. Their very solid and have taken a beating with no issues. Ive been running them for 2 months now i believe? Maybe more maybe less.

Im not sure how they measure up to other coilovers being that this is my first set, but a few people who have had experience with other brands say they are right their with those in which are $500+ more expensive. They have stood up to drifting every single day since i installed them and to 2 dukes of hazard curb jumps.

I would definetly recommend these to budget drifters not giving a dang about what flashy brands they have on their car and just wanna get sideways and have a good time. My only complaint is the height adjustability. The picures shown are set at the lowest height adjustment. But its perfect for me coz thats exactly were I want them to be. But keep in mind, that is as low as they go.

Any other questions post up (ive never reviewed a part before but i think this should give you a good idea about what i think of them)

Can't be all that horrible then

OK, so I finally found a sensible Subaru owner who has them installed on his STI. get got the type-RS because they are softer. he tracks his car with these and said they are great for the track but are way too hard on back roads and would like something softer.

Therefore these are not for me but it's not a bad review.

With an 8k/6k spring rate, those are NOT going to be soft.

I run the Tein Flex coilovers for an 02-07 WRX. They run a 9k/6k spring rate, so they are VERY firm, but I like them. Not bouncy, HUGE handling improvement, but not for the family car. The Super Streets would be much more acceptable for that. Oh and they fit without any fanegeling, just had to swap the front camber plates side to side, took literally 30 seconds. Everything else fit perfect.

I picked up the Godspeed SS's on craigslist for $300, I'll let you guys know how they go. They're a little stiff so far but handle like a beast and are quite adjustable (camber and height, maybe even a little toe but I don't recall)

I'll get some pics of the coilover setup today when the shop has my wheels off to put new tires on... But I really do need to get some pics of my ride as a whole up, just waiting on a couple more mods
