Hello everyone. I'm new here, but not to the Legacy. I'm from eastern PA in between Philly and the Poconos. This looks like a nice community for some Legacy love...my green tank just doesn't get much appreciation from anyone other than me. Oh yeah, and the VW guy who came in 2nd place at my second autocross event...

The first car I ever bought myself was a brand new 2000 Legacy GT Limited sedan in Timberline Green. Within a year, I was completely hooked on Subarus, right around the time I was getting into racing, mostly F1 and WRC. I learned how to drive in a Celica, but I really learned the art of driving in the Legacy, competing in autocrosses and TSD rallies. Recently, I picked up a used 2005 STi, and it has breathed new life into my Subaru passion.

I am currently using the STi as my daily driver most of the time, and also for HPDEs. But the best part is that having a second car has given me the confidence to start using the Legacy for some off-roading adventures. I've done some dirt and gravel roads in the past, and I always take every opportunity to play in the snow. I finally got my clutch replaced a little while ago, letting me run the car hard again, and I just installed skidplates, so I'm ready for my first mud adventure this coming weekend.

I can't believe the number of American owners who have two or more Subarus... it's like it's a pre-requisite or something. :)

i loved my Legacy too much to trade it in towards the STi. plus i realized there are some nice benefits of having a second car...one of them being fun in the dirt! and the fact that there are a lot of people with 2 subies just goes to show how well these cars treat their owners.

there just aren't a lot of other cars out there that i wanted before the second subaru. i almost got a miata for the track, until a friend helped me realize life is too short to not have the car i really wanted now. i plan on driving both of my Subarus past the 250k mark.

Welcome! My wife and I have two Subarus - I drive a 98 legacy gt and she has a 2000 Outback wagon. The humor here is that she didn't want to get a Subaru at first, and she wound up getting one anyway  (her Outback purchase beat out a PT Cruiser, Mitsubishi Eclipse, and a Toyota Celica or Prius)

Welcome welcome :)

This picture does it for me... IMO, this is THE reason why Subarus rock.
