So, my headlights very cloudy and they point at the ground so it is dangerous to drive at night. The adjustment screw is rusted so much that a costly car mechanic didn't want to touch it and dousing it with oil for a few weeks hasn't loosened it up a bit. So perhaps it is time for new headlights.
What are my options here? I noticed the seemingly USDM stock/imitation stock will run me about $111 each. Also I've been seeing some JDM lights but they were used and carried a $500 pricetag which may not work.
So, agian, can anyone inform me on options?
(or a clever way to adjust mine)

Option 1: USDM stock headlights: new $100-120 each. used $150-180 set
Benefits: plug n play. Better light than what you have.
Downers: still crappy lighting
Option 2: JDM projector lights: $150 + shipping on ebay.
Benefits: typically vastly better output, nice to have a 7+year old car with "newer" lights.
Downer: Varying quality depending on seller and you have to aim them all the way right. Some people get flashed by oncoming traffic. Wiring them up is daunting for novices.
Option 3: Morette lights from the UK/Europe: $800 new, hard to find used.
Benefits: Plug n play fitment for LHD cars, great light output and aggressive looks.
Downer: Cost, and replacement parts are hard to find.

I would go with the JDM projectors over stock.. i have them.. and they seem to be MUCH brighter than the stock USDM headlights. However.. if you are just looking for a cheap fix.. USDM should be easy to obtain for cheap. I know when I got my JDM projectors, i sold the USDM ones for $60 shipped or something, and they were crystal clear.

thanks...can anyone point me to any instructions on how to install the JDM lights? If i can see those I can decide if I'm capable of doing it

I use to feel the same way about the JDM wiring and such that was in the DIY thread.. but once i actually looked at the headlights.. took me like 5 mins to get each one out, and another 5 to do the wiring.. per headlight.. and it works great! I can take you a pic of my wires if you want.. that way you can see which goes to which.. as that may speed up the process a bit?
Also, because the JDM ones use a diff bulb.. i suggest doing what i did.. and just filing an extra hole into the back of the headlight. Some people have another way to do this.. i think by taking the extra tab off the bulb socket.. but i suggest just filing another hole in the back of the headlight bulb housing..
Good luck man! Its a very easy project.. no matter how complex we make it seem.. takes only a matter of minutes.
