I am receiving a 95 legacy LS from my grandmother. It is in mint condition with 60k on the clock. She has had all the maintenance done at the local subi garage over the last 13 years. She got a new CRV so she said i could have the car. I have been into honda's for the past few years and own a 99 si with alot of mod's mainly in the suspension. I was planning on autocrossing the car but decided i am going to sell it and build an all motor hatchback civic for this purpose. But anyway i am new to subaru's and would like to know some information about this legacy i am receiving. Anything i should look out for? Any problems? I heard that the headgaskets blow frequently on these engines.

There are two different engines, a 2.2L and a 2.5L. Your LS has a 2.2L which DOES NOT have headgakste problems.

If I was you, I'd look for rust on the rear quaters just behind the wheel. Other than that, a good fluid change is always nice.

Congratulations on your gift!

The 2.2 Engine in your Legacy is pretty solid. I put mine through hell and the only thing I got was a little lifter clicking. 60k miles, your car should be in awesome shape.
