Nice wagon. Silver is my favorite color on the wagons. I'm loving the RS wheels on there + WRX brakes, and JDM tails. That 22b wheel is also really nice.
Nice looking Mazda, my next car is going to be an FC turbo...

Nice rides! Do you have any pictures of your wagon with those bronze-colored GT mesh wheels? What are you doing with them?

Those bronze RS wheels look superb. Very, very good choice of color. What are your thoughts on the can-style STi shift knob? I may be hunting for one in the spring.

nice!! and where you get that steering wheel?

Very nice, man. I love the steering wheel, and the RS wheels are classics that look pimp on Legacies. I've had 2 sets of the 5-spokes.

thx for the compliments.
The Piston STI knob is great, but it gets FREEZING COLD right now in the winter...
22B Steering wheel- andy from the fourm.
the Bronze BBS's are really not being used at all... may track on them (they have some pretty dead Falken 451's)
Unless someone wants to buy them really bad ;)
and no, no pics of the car on the bronze BBS's... but i can assure you it looks Freakin Hawt... I really like them better on the car then the RS wheels now that I painted them...
Just waiting for the Cusco Zero2 Coils to get in... gonna be a rough ride!!!
(by the way, I will have a set of Cusco rear Pillow Ball Mounts for sale, since Im using camber adj. ones)

Dude.. I bought teh FB for $250 with a new paintjob and a torn apart 12A...
then I bought my 87 Chevy Scottsdale for $300- Great engine, rusted Frame (drove it home about 40 miles away)
then i got a T5 Tranny (5spd) with flywheel and all for $150 local
Buy the kit from Grannysspeedshop.com (about $750 shipped)
all I need is a radiator and a short water pump.
so right now, I've invested about $1500... It should be DONE for less than $2200 im sure!
and the end result should be a 250hp(for now) 2300lb RWD toy....

Why the hell do you have harnesses in that car? Thats one of the dumber things I have seen in a while.

A harness helps a lot if you autox.

I compete in STS (auto-x) have you ever driven a car hard? Ever notice that you are holding yorself in place with your hands??? (prob not since you think this is "dumb")
In a STOCK car, ONLY by adding a Harness, you can gain around 1.5-2 sec if you are a good driver.
FYI: thats very close the same gain (2-3sec) you would see from using a set of R-compound Tires... which get used up... harness is a one time thing...
no, im not saying that a harness is better than race tires, but it does allow you to control the car much easier...

I wouldnt say it gives you time... I may reduce driver fatigue... I didn't get any quicker with harness and race buckets, (i am still the 2nd place guy by .5-1 second) but @ the end of the day when I got home I was much less tired...

That is also true, but it will improve your times after you are used to it.
exp in a car that has no side bolstering.
i love seeing silver wagons modded... it makes me happy

Seriously, These BC coils are GREAT. NOBODY has said anything other than it feels perfect. No bounce, not harsh at all, honestly it feels like a very mild Strut Spring Combo untill you turn the Damp. up past half, then it gets reallly stiff.

Looking fresh Brock!
I might have to tag along with you next time you're down here doing the autocross deal. I just want to see how smooth you said it is  ..I'm on OmniPower coilovers...and they are rough I tell ya

Lets put it this way. Mike (with the Outback sport) said he would NEVER buy Coilovers. he just bought some H&R springs, but then he rode in my car and is thinking about going with the BC's (he got the HR Springs reallll cheap though)
But honestly, he drove it around town all day, hit potholes on purpose, went down some gravel/ crappy roads. He was really impressed. You will be very surprised how good the Dampening is; i was/still am impressed at the quality of the ride.
Hell, my Grandma rode into town with me the other day and asked when I was going to put my "Racing suspension" on, and It had been on for 3 weeks... seriously...

It's that good eh? I knew I shoulda went with BC coilovers. I think I'll switch sometimes later when i get the cash. Because I was going to ditch the coilovers and go with springs/strut combo, KYBs/H&Rs.

Welcome to the coilovers club. How does the car handle now?
Brockley
01-18-2009, 05:33 PM
Like I was saying, car handles great. Putting an outback rear sway on as soon as I can get another bushing... or a drill bit the correct size to drill my gt one out.
Everyone that rides is still very impressed by the quality of the ride, not harsh at all like I had expected (7k/5k rates, dampening set 9/4 clicks from soft.

Went to the hardware store with the stock bolts, found some that were abour 1/2 inch long, with a Hex head. painted them black. Screwed them in (with a bit of thread sealant) Looks clean.

how long did it take to do? like drop the headliner and stuff

how long did it take to do? like drop the headliner and stuff
didnt drop the headliner, only in one corner where my little bracket was loose.
Maybe 20 min total...
any questions? Its really simple. Just pry the ends out of the rails, and it has 2 Torx head screws on each corner (I used a flat head that was the correct width for them... lol) then replace with a shorter bolt.... thats it...
