View Full Version : Beep beep speaker for seatbelt

You know that BEEP BEEP BEEP you get when you start the car to tell you to put your seat belt on and the little red icon illuminates inside the dash? Well.. mine's been acting funny!

I'll start the car.. it'll beep like it usually does.. then the light will really slowly flicker off.. then the speaker makes a KKKKKKKKKKKKKKKRRRRRRRRRR noise like static on a cellphone.. then the seatbelt light comes back on again.. beeps twice and then it shuts off.

This only happens when I leave the car parked for a few hours.. and I haven't even put my seatbelt on.

That speaker is annoying as hell.. well the static part is anyway.. where is it located?? I think there might be a connection problem or something :S

There is a SEATBELT module under the dash. I disconnected mine.

does thad also turn of the "hey dummy you have inserted the key with an open door" Beep ?

Funny, on my 98 Outback, if I have the door open and pull the keys out and replace them in the ignition, the open door beep goes away. Not sure why but it does.

mine starts beeping just as soon as the key goes in every time.

AND IT´S SOOOO F****** ANOYING :evil: :evil:

bahh, nevermind, it´s going on sale next month

Mine does too sometimes if the door is open, but I giggle the switch and it goes away :-? .

My BE is more of a 'ding', which isn't as bad as the 'beep' in my BD.
