Ok, so I'm turning the big 3-0 soon, and my wife gives me this proposition:

"To celebrate, we should rent a car."

I remember that some rental car companies have "fun-rental" programs where you can rent cars like Mustangs, Cadillac Escalades, and Hummers.

So I thought to myself, who's renting out Subarus? Anyone know?

Some rental companies out of PDX, (Portland International Airport) rent out Outbacks, Foresters, and I've even seen Legacy sedans. All of them 2.5i's though. Never seen an STi or anything like that.

I know you can rent exotics like Vipers and Ferrari's down in Vegas.

Well, one obvious consideration for not stocking cars like that would be theft... but I'm not exactly interested in renting a car like an Escalade or a Mustang if I could have gotten my hands on an STi to drive for a weekend. (Too bad they don't have loaner programs like that at Subaru dealerships...)

I guess a Mustang GT-H wouldn't hurt... ...is it ok in the snow?

If you lived in CA I would say take a weekend trip down to Beverly Hills and rent a Porsche GT2, but you don't...

Wouldn't hurt? I should smack you

Actually with traction control the new mustangs aren't so bad in the snow.

Wonder how much that costs? That would be mad fun.

Better idea. Go to BeaveRun Motorsports Complex to do the 007 driving course.

"The 007 Experience" is a driving adventure like no other. Does “Military Special Forces” mean anything to you? This adventure takes you to the edge of driving experiences. YOU take the wheel and participate in the same training programs as the most highly skilled international security forces. YOU do the same tactical maneuvers. This is not some watered down “PC” version. It’s the real thing, live and unrehearsed. Additional Details. Space is limited!!!
