Recently acquired a OEM Momo 5 speed shift knob for the legacy, thought it would be a good OEM dress up, Now looking for a wheel. I have a 2003 BH and I believe the wheel I have my eye on came out of a 2004 WRX, question is, will it switch over and will the cruise and airbag wiring be plug and play? My current wheel obviously has cruise and so does this MOMO one.

I keep looking for a wheel like this one - preferably one out of an '02 bugeye like I used to have. I have been also trying to get a H6 Legacy/Outback wheel, with the wood inserts, but every buyer I come across on eBay will not ship to Canada

Check this out - http://bbs.legacycentral.org/viewtopic.php?t=34483

I know Phil "KBD" from the XT6 site, he'll most likely be willing to ship to Canada if he decides to sell it. If you want to get a hold of him without joining legacycentral, send me a PM with your contact info and I'll pass it on to Phil.

same guy is doing the entire car partout on NASIOC as well, I was looking into getting the auto temp control panel but then read on here where it isn't as simple as that.

mine arrived today, I get my new rear window installed tomorrow so tomorrow evening i'll probably go out and try to get some parts installed. Anyone know if I'll need a steering wheel puller to get my current one off? I've had to use it on some cars and not on others, how much of a bitch are subaru wheels?

Depends entirely on how difficult the center nut is.
I would just crack the center nut, loosen it up until it's sitting about 4/5 turns before coming off entirely, and then use a rubber mallet on the steering wheel.

Pull with as much even pressure as you can...and don't smack yourself in the face!

funny you mention that... last time I was switching the pedals on my stumpjumper, the wrench slipped off and put a nice gash in my forehead... god I felt like a jackass walking in the house with blood all over myself and my wife freaking out.

finally got around to installing the steering wheel tonight... cruise plug just swapped over... airbag/horn was a different story... looks like I'm going to have to cut the wiring and splice when I have a few extra minutes, although that kind of makes me a little nervous... anyone have any other suggestion?

It'd be fine to swap the plugs providing the system is dead - you could unplug the SRS fuse and disconnect the battery to be sure.

yeah, I unhooked the battery last night, I'll do the same when I go to wire it... last thing I want is to reconnect power and turn the key and get smacked in the face with an airbag though.

Test it before putting the cover back on, and don't sit in the driver's seat while testing all the steering functions...?
